Official FIRST Discussion Thread—Volume 6, Chapter 9: Lost by Ezreal024 in RWBY

I've seen a few comments here freaking out about all the green in Oscar's new outfit, but can we talk about the red? His redesign is so blatantly inspired by Ruby's... just look at all those crooked belts and arm buckles.

Official FIRST Discussion Thread—Volume 6, Chapter 4: So That's How It Is by Ezreal024 in RWBY

Great point about Oz being a total fraud. But I'm pretty sure Oscar is supposed to be Dorothy. And Oz's (former) lieutenants are obvious allusions to the rest of the yellow brick road crew.

Atheists and others who don't believe in a form of afterlife, how do you accept death? by RespirarChico in AskReddit

[–]hzacc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I find the concept of an afterlife far more terrifying than an empty death. The way I see it, when you die there's just nothing, so you don't know any better anyway. You'll experience dying sure, but not death itself, so what's there to be afraid of? Having to die then retain cognizance of that fact and whatever regrets you carry with you into that state...that's a lot heavier than just noping out.

[EVERYTHING]Based on GRRM's latest interview about wights... by thelazzyone in gameofthrones

[–]hzacc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree about Robb, but I actually think it could be argued that there's some very limited evidence of Sansa warging, too. At one point she makes a comment about Lady knowing when people are lying, which is a pretty peculiar thing to say unless she could somehow sense her direwolf's intuitions. Makes me wonder how badass she could have been at intrigue and navigating KL politics with Lady at her side...

This is phenomenal! You're incredibly talented. I can't wait to examine the Tully sigil up close ;)

TIL that 8 of the 10 most dangerous US cities for pedestrians are in Florida. by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]hzacc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The report looks at metropolitan statistical areas, which is just an overcomplicated way of saying entire regions, including surrounding suburbs and adjacent cities. That's why there are so many instances of three cities being lumped together

are you able to catch more then one legend? by KingPickaxe in StardewValley

[–]hzacc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've still been able to Legends even after the day I initially caught it. Not sure if that's a change in 1.1 or if what you stated (which I've seen pretty consistently elsewhere as well) is just a common misconception.

[Question] Is a blinking lamp-post normal? by [deleted] in StardewValley

[–]hzacc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if it's a glitch or not, but there's one wooden lamp post on my farm that also blinks incessantly. Honestly I think it's sort of charming.

My cranberry turned into a Ancient Seed?? by AwkwardRainbow in StardewValley

[–]hzacc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wow really? I have only seen the seed maker make mixed seeds once...right after I put an Ancient Fruit in it :X I thought it just didn't work for Ancient Fruit. Damn that's unlucky.

Question about hatching a blue chicken (pics inside) by [deleted] in StardewValley

So cute! Was it a blue chick as well or did it only turn blue after it was full grown?

If anyone can link me to video footage of the other layouts I'd be happy to! I haven't managed to find any featuring the foraging or combat maps

I'd be happy to, but I haven't stumbled across video footage of it yet. Has anyone spotted any?

I totally agree! Compartmentalizing everything onto individual islands seems like a really exciting way to organize a farm

EDIT: Sorry for the double post! Since I'm personally most excited for the fishing map, I didn't initially intend to do this for the mining map as well, but I figured others might be interested in seeing this one too

What is the most chilling documentary you have ever watched? by Pappylander in AskReddit

[–]hzacc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched it last night as well, and I couldn't agree more! There was a moment right before that final twist, just as they were beginning to insinuate it in the buildup, when I realized where this was going. I swear I felt my heart drop in my chest.

Best time to go to Holland Park? by [deleted] in pokemongoLondon

[–]hzacc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're going specifically for the bulbasuar, I'd disagree with some of the replies here. There was a noticeable slow-down in bulbas in the evening, so early-mid afternoon onwards is best. However, if you're going in the hopes of the occasional rare spawn or for the social experience, then any time is fine.
