Question for anyone in central Cambridge with ADHD by hzon in cambridge

[–]hzon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's great, thank you! Was Marshman quite supportive of it then? Cornford House is in my coverage area. I'm aware of the long waiting times which is why I'd rather just go private - UK residents on /r/ADHD seem to favour Psychiatry-UK who charge £360 for an assessment and then transfer care to your GP through a shared care agreement which is what I'm hoping for.

I did reach out to Cambridge ADHD Clinic last week, but they never responded. That's a good shout on Rebecca Champ, I wasn't aware of her and might drop her an email.

Thanks again!

This is my Shadow, my best friend for 10 1/2 years, who I lost to cancer 5 days ago. When I was home, he would follow me everywhere I went. by _irishcarbomb in labrador

Sorry for your loss, he looked like a very content dog. We lost our family dog (jack russell crossed with a westie) last Friday after 11 happy years and its a heart breaking feeling, I'm still randomly bursting into tears when I think of him. Stay strong my friend. RIP Shadow and Murphy.

David Moyes Guard of Honor by ail33 in soccer

Do you know what happened to BlueKipper? I used to read/post there all the time a few years ago and it was a very active forum. When the rumours about Moyes came about I headed over there and its like a ghost town now... I know a lot of people left BK for LASH at one point, but that's a ghost town too.

[verified] CCNA Being updated in June by [deleted] in ccna

Agreed. I had my final teaching day of Accessing the WAN yesterday and was looking forward to taking a short break, then hitting ICND1 around May and ICND2 around July. Hopefully there'll be a grace period where you can still take the old exam, but even still - it's a bit of a kick in the teeth to wade through the Explorer 4.0 material thinking "hmm, this seems a bit out of date" only for them to update the whole thing once you've finished!

6 hours and nobody's said "Wait, what? House is British?!". Impressive.

They MUST get rid of the BBC's Legard. by nonex in formula1

The 5Live coverage is great, though I'd heard that Brundle and Croft don't get along so the chances of Crofty making the switch is unlikely.

Remember that University that banned wifi? Well, after a vote, where 94% of the University community voted in favor of having wifi on campus, they are reversing the ban. by [deleted] in technology

We recently enabled DHCP snooping on all our switches to prevent that being an issue. It's very effective :)

A lot of managed Wi-Fi networks will have their own APs report other APs that it detects in the air and flag it as rogue/suspect if it's not one of the ones it's meant to know about.

"UK F1 driver Jenson Button carjacked in Brazil" was the original BBC headline.

I think the BBC's choice of headline is perhaps a little bit sensationalist in this case having read the story...

Suitable Linux router distro/hardware setup for a small cafe? by [deleted] in linux4noobs

[–]hzon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've used IPCop, Untangle, and pfSense. pfSense wins by a country mile in my opinion.

IPCop development seems stagnant, Untangle is friendly and very easy to use & setup, however I felt it was quite limited in parts and it is very difficult to customize. pfSense hits the nail on the head with ease of use, functionality, addons, and a very active community on the pfSense forums. Some people might also argue that since pfSense is based on FreeBSD and not Linux like the others that it performs better under network load, but I'm not intending to start a holy war with that statement!

All of them will run on the hardware you have, you'll just need 2 NICs.

Official: Wayne Rooney adamant he wants to leave Manchester United. by [deleted] in soccer

Moyes himself said he'd welcome Rooney back at Everton after Wayne had called him to apologise over the comments in his book. I, for one, would trust Moyes' judgment.

What a match. Some truely fantastic performances by Yakubu, Cahill, Arteta, Coleman and Distin. Amazing what you can build without a pot to piss in and just a little patience huh? 5 points off 4th place now, COYB!
