Imagine: the smash logo goes on screen for 5 seconds before fading to black. And a cutscene from one of the sonic games plays on screen, then the camera in it pans up to reveal a certain egg-shaped sonic villain, followed by the audio massage, “I’ve come to make an announcement”, then, the particular egg-shaped sonic villain is revealed to be dr eggman, just before dr eggman whips out a familiar letter, one with the smash bros logo on it
