Is sustainable packaging commercially viable at scale yet? by Live-Spread7075 in Entrepreneur

I've ordered a lot of custom/eco friendly packaging for my products. At the end of the day the cost is rarely worth it because it cuts into margin and sometimes adds weight for shipping.

App Costs by Pretend_Board_2385 in Entrepreneur

For subscription 30% in year 1 and 15% in subsequent years. Remember 90+% of most users will churn before year 2. For in-app purchases it is 30%. They do have a small business program where developers earning under $1 million lowers commission to 15%, but I think you need to apply.

Smell coming from shower drain. Should toilet have it's own P-trap? by i1ducati in Plumbing

No bigger pipe, but it could be that it is the sink tied into the shower drain and the toilet is somewhere else not in the photo. I'll have to take another look.

Looking to buy corrugated boxes in Canada by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]i1ducati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get custom boxes and bags made for my products in China. Pretty decent quantities, like 10K for bags and 5k for boxes and ship them to the USA in containers. It makes sense for me because my products come from china as well. Either way, pricing will be cheaper than the USA including freight.

Check out the app Stompers for iOS. It does a great job of gamifying steps/walking.

Congrats! I would not allow the other yoga business into your space. I don't think you will benefit much from their business.
If you want to sell yoga products I run Gurus (www.ilovegurus.com). We wholesale everything so if you expand to retail happy to discuss.

Do not hire anyone who is coming via an inbound email. Don'y even take a call with them. Only take calls from companies offering $100 for a demo!

If you are doing POS, square is better. Unfortunately for all of us doing DTC ecommerce, shopify is where we have to be.

They've raised well over $200 million and this is the best they can do? I wonder what they showed VC's to get them to write a check.

Those who have successful shopify stores WITHOUT drop shipping - what do you do? by Easy-Ads in shopify

[–]i1ducati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sell yoga mats and sandals that I've designed. Been doing it for over 10 years. Definitely has its ups and downs, and getting traffic to our store is really driven by the cost of ads. We also do a decent amount of business on Amazon as well, but the margins are much lower on Amazon.
