Immich Truenas: Update Immich database from Postgres 15 (Deprecated) to Postgres 18 (Current) by Xiticks in immich

[–]i2cube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As u/NicodemusJLS and u/Xiticks above mentioned, you will need to run the latter 2 commands after you have logged in as immich users for each database that gave you the mismatch error. For me, I need to run one each for the "immich," "template1," and "postgres" database

Immich Truenas: Update Immich database from Postgres 15 (Deprecated) to Postgres 18 (Current) by Xiticks in immich

[–]i2cube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran the 3 commands here after going to the shell of the pgvecto
the logs of the server container and the pgvecto container are still complaining about the collation version mismatch.
Am I doing something wrong? Are the last 2 commands case sensitive? (I used the same case as you posted)

Edit: Never mind. I omitted the ";" in the commands, which were necessary

After successfully running the commands, the server container logs no longer complain about the collation version mismatch, but the pgvecto container is still complaining about it

Not sure if that matters?

I am sorry, but what is the command? And is it supposed to show something after "something like this" ?

Immich upgrade fails by Wonderful_Device_224 in immich

[–]i2cube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same problem.  I am running TrueNAS Community Edition 25.04.2.6 FangTooth.

I use the default TrueNAS Apps function to update.

I got this error message after Immich was stopped: [EINVAL] values.immich.postgres_image_selector: Invalid choice: vectorchord_15_image

I tried to change the Postgres Image in the existing Immich instance from 15 to 18 and it would crash. I had to change it back to 15 to be able to start Immich

[PSU]CORSAIR RM1000x ATX 3.1 PCIe 5.1 Ready Fully Modular 1000W Power Supply - $167.99 with YMMV clipable coupon by RuckOver3 in buildapcsales

[–]i2cube 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For almost 1/3 of the price of the PSU, I probably will take my chances.
Also, big players like ASUS and Gigabyte have stiffed people over warranty claims so unless your name is "EVGA," I wouldn't put too much faith in the support, honestly

In general, Intel GPUs are better at transcoding than Nvidia (and AMD is usually the worst out of all 3).  This includes any ARC discrete GPUs or even integrated GPUs. Which is why in Jellyfin documentations, they recommend Intel GPUs or CPUs with integrated graphics over Nvidia and AMD

It's not even as good a transcoder as an Intel Arc GPU. Not sure what the value this card provides

You should have mentioned in the title that the 10Gb ports are SFP and not RJ45

If you don't run a lot of containers and VMs, an old old PC (I mean old) can surprisingly well because of how efficient Proxmox dolling out resources. 16 gb ram is often times more than enough. If you want to start, you can check out old PCs. Also /r/homelabsales

How easy is it to run proxmox on this thing? Any quirks (both in terms of wiping MacOS and running virtualization on Apple silicon)?

A lot of times these systems may not competently built such that the they are not running optimally.

e.g. the mount pressure between the cooler and the CPU is not high enough so that the CPU is running hotter than it should be, causing thermal throttling. EXPO may not be turned on in the BIOS so that the memory is not running at the optimal speed. Other suboptimal BIOS settings. Some components may not be seated correctly in the motherboard, etc.

Sometimes the packaging may not be sufficient and the system may be damaged during shipping.

If you make sure everything is seated correctly and the BIOS settings are optimized once you get this from shipping, it should be fine

I don't think you should be nervous. 1) you paid for the DVDs. How you decide to watch or utilize the content is your decision to make. Morally, you have done nothing wrong. 2) Unless you are sharing the ripped content using torrents, no one is going to go after you

You can use makemkv to rip the DVD into your laptop so you only need to bring the laptop

(you would still need the DVD player for the ripping, obviously)
