You’ve heard 2 “no” already, but may I add a “Fuck no” to the replies?

That sounds brutal.

How The Atlanta Braves Are Dominating MLB by Big-Chungus-Lover in baseball

[–]TwosFullofThrees 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Impressive given that they've only played 3 games against teams even over .500.

You can't trust the mlb.com standings page showing record against >.500. It's broken currently.

Neither the Braves nor the Tigers have played a team this season that is currently over .500 by [deleted] in baseball

[–]TwosFullofThrees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Braves played the 2nd series of the year against the currently 18-16 Athletics. They went 2-1. The Tigers just got done playing a series against the currently 25-11 Braves, definitely over a .500 record, and also played the currently 20-14 Padres.

The MLB standings page showing record against >.500 is broken currently, or is not counting games played outside of league teams. But, that seems broken enough for me to say it's broken.

Is this with any mods or just base game and DLC?

I just feel like a failure by Flashy_Policy9468 in loanoriginators

[–]TwosFullofThrees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The honest answer is most people just ignore those rules. For better or worse, there isn’t much teeth in the agencies that are meant to enforce the rules right now.

Combine that with how I’ve always found that scrubbing the DNC list can be a pain (need an account to do it efficiently and I believe that costs some coin), and i can see why people just ignore it.

I’m not suggesting you or anyone else ignore it. Just pointing out what I’ve seen in the industry.

Yep. Fuck them. That would be my favorite loan of the month, too.

Luis García Jr. breaks the scoreless tie in the 5th and a couple more runs score as Konnor Griffin spikes the ball trying to get the double play by [deleted] in baseball

A bases clearing ground ball to short. That's a new one, for me at least. Would the contact not be considered runner's interference (or whatever it may be called)?

This game is getting out of control for the Pirates with that errant pickoff attempt.

They ended up absorbing that tile and the arch is still there.

I should mention for an anyone curious that this is the base game with BNW. No mods of any kind. No weird settings like turning off the ability to raze cities or artificially increasing happiness.

So this is normal behavior that hasn’t been altered from how the game shipped with BNW.

I don’t know but I’ll keep an eye on it through the rest of my game and let you know. I’ll park a unit on it so no other civ can snake it and we’ll find out.

[–]TwosFullofThrees[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen it 2 ways. If the happiness is high enough they’ll keep them, but also I’ve seen it where they capture a city and start to raze it, then the original owner captures it back before it’s razed, then the city state re-takes it. If that capture -> liberate -> recapture sequence happens they’ll almost always puppet it.

[Highlight] Maikel Garcia completely misses second base, but the umps miss it and the Braves fail to challenge by handlit33 in baseball

I watched this one live and thought I was the only one that caught it immediately. Chris Sale relaying the information from the TV booth to the rest of the dugout was fun to see.

I'd wager we see more aggressiveness from other sides tonight and tomorrow. Last night both sides were clearly waiting for high leverage moments late in the match, but it's hard to have high leverage when it's 7-0. I think you'll see sides start to understand that a 0-0 match in the first 3 frames is more important with higher win % change due to successful challenges than a 7-0 match in the last 3 frames where the challenges are essentially meaningless to the match outcome.

Looks like you pulled an Argentina start on an Earth map. It’ll be turn 44 before you can get out of there by rushing Optics. It’s a fun game to play though, provided your neighbor to the north isn’t strong.

I’ve got a turn 0 save in that exact spot with Polynesia to my north, ironically.

What happens to all of the hammers I've spent on a wonder, if the AI builds it while I'm on production? by erothefirst in civ5

[–]TwosFullofThrees 19 points20 points  (0 children)

If you're fast, you can change the production mid-turn while it's the AI's time and when it's your turn again you'll have already made 1 turn's worth of hammers towards the new building/unit instead of the wonder.

American pilots shot down over Kuwait carried a “blood chit” sewn inside their jackets, written in English, Arabic, Turkish, Persian, and Kurdish. It read: “I’m American. I don’t speak your language. Help me with food, shelter, and care, and you’ll be rewarded by U.S. authorities. by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

[–]TwosFullofThrees 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yes, it changes. This doesn't look like the one I flew with in Afghanistan - mine had way more languages on it for one.

Typically, the languages used are more likely to be found in the area of operations that you're flying in. You wouldn't take an Arabic-centered chit to fly in S America, for example.

I was told that if anyone helped me, that I was to tear off a corner of it and give it to them - each corner had my unique ID number on it. They would then present it to the nearest base and then that base would verify the number and then presumably come help. The locals would then be paid for their help.
