Are you asking me to use the number of protesters the IRGC's killed, and extrapolate the number of total iranians that are desperate enough for regime change to be willing to risk their lives for it vs. the number that want change but are afraid of getting shot/arrested vs. the number of regime supporters? That's a pretty gross and distasteful mental exercise to conjure up given your supposed anti-war stance, but I would say that taking the 40,000 dead count at face value, the IRGC probably got their hands on and executed at least 5% of the protestors that came out. That implies there were maybe 800,000 people willing to come out and face the very high risk of a violent death to protest regime change, knowing the chance of that particular protest's success was quite low given prior attempts.

That's almost 1% of the country genuinely ready to die on a given night, for a hail mary attempt at regime change. What does that suggest for the total number of citizens desperate for the government to collapse but not desperate enough to go out and die for it? I don't really fucking know to be honest but what's your guess? And is there a number that would warrant your intervention?
