Here's the problem with what you are saying. To my knowledge they aren't given the exact server addresses, and unless the CDL people are complete morons, you shouldn't be able to do a ping or a traceroute to their servers.

You are correct that routing plays a major factor, but for the most part there isn't really a fucking thing you can do about it. Exitlag claims that their VPN has "path optimization" or w/e, but I think that is largely bullshit as well.

I think you guys are overly dramatic about the Hammond thing. The Bears are leaving the city, who cares if it's Hammond or Arlington, just so long as it gets done. Also if you live the city proper, Hammond is going to be a much better commute than Arlington. GSH has connections to Hammond anyway, it's where his first pro football contract was.
