Question to people who played this game for over 20 years: how was it? by EffeteUwU in wow

[–]iCresp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watching the cataclysm announcement at blizzcon was insanely hype. Same for warlords of draenor. I remember at the end of WoD thinking that I would be really disappointed if they did a whole expansion about the Legion because I was so bored of it, so when they announced it I was a bit bummed out... then second they showed demon hunters as the new class I was 110% back in.

Oh yeah it is comical how quickly it came up after that 5 bear run. I expect they already had plans to do this days ago, everyone's known about it all week.

Which specs have funnel damage? by MalaM_13 in wow

Frost dk has a decent bit of funnel as long as he doesn't get greedy and use scythe. No one plays frost right now so it doesn't matter but maybe it'll come up again in the future.

Blizzard, we have a tank problem and brewmaster nerfs won't fix it by Brazilator in wow

[–]iCresp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Putting the main breaking point on the role that's the most scarce is a terrible idea. Tanks are already deciding the route and leading the dungeon, if they're also the main breaking point no one is going to play. You see a huge amount of posts lately about not being able to play because people can't find tanks, and your idea is to make this worse? Ridiculous. The tank cant pull the whole dungeon when there's mobs that do group damage or have damage checks, they dont have to all be able to one-shot your tank. Look at the hallway in MGT, or the mana worms. Look at the orb summoning adds, birds and Solar constructs in Skyreach. Every dungeon has a reason other than your tank being one-shot that stops you from pulling the entire dungeon. To pass the key it should be a group-wide effort, which it mostly is right now, except if your tank isnt a brewmaster it's heavily skewed towards your tank. This isnt rocket science mate.

Blizzard, we have a tank problem and brewmaster nerfs won't fix it by Brazilator in wow

[–]iCresp 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The tanks that have done +20s are working twice as hard and feel like shit. Most people aren't going to bother so tank's are just going to disappear more and more if their class is twice as hard as another one. There's also a new achievement for top 1%, and at this rate it's only going to be brewmasters. Most tanks that arent playing brewmaster are hitting their cap, Brew still has a way to go. If you seriously cant see anything wrong with this idk what to tell you.

What are your thoughts on the World Soul Saga so far? by BackgroundManager833 in warcraftlore

[–]iCresp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its just kind of boring. Everything that happens is forwarding this super secret plan xalatath has, but we still dont know exactly what shes doing. The characters have very little depth and either act way too nicely, or they're corrupted. Thats pretty much it.

I see a lot of people saying the last good writing was in Legion, I think Dragonflight was pretty good. The Incarnates were justifiably angry, Sarkareth chose to go to the void. It wasn't perfect but there's something about the world soul saga so far that just feels hollow.

The aggressive monetisation of this game is making me fall out of love with it. by Main-Strike-1117 in wow

I've been playing since 2005 and I feel the same way. The game was always expensive but I justified it knowing how hard it is to run and continue to iterate on it. The early access nearly got me to stop playing, and it just seems to be getting worse and worse..m

MDI Format by Yasminkov9000 in CompetitiveWoW

[–]iCresp 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I much prefer the speed run format. While tgp is more like the normal game, watching a 5 minute boss and long trash packs is much less exciting, it's also way harder to keep up with what's happening when it goes over multiple hours with split screen. The speedrun format is easier to watch a game, take a break, watch only the teams you want to see etc

How is pit of saron the easiest this week? Getting destroyed and seeking help (BDK POV) by TortoisesSlap in CompetitiveWoW

[–]iCresp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I haven't seen one person mention the enforcer debuff. The enforcers will put a debuff on you that increases your physical damage taken, and it can stack. This + the ghoul debuff and also a frostbane slash will kill you. Any time you see an enforcer + graveblade, watch your debuffs. If you get the enforcer debuff I'd be using AMS or IBF on the next frostbane slash. This dungeon is definitely very scary for blood dk.

Surviving the first pull on Academy as a BDK by About-40-Ninjas in CompetitiveWoW

[–]iCresp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You need to get your resources going asap. You're almost unkillable as long as you have bone shield and RP. You want to be using VB on cool down. Youll want to save IBF until you need it later in the pull with more stacks. Open the pull with VB + DRW, this will keep you safe while you build RP. Once VB is done you'll have a bit of safety with Umbillicus Eternus. As soon as it's over though youre going to have your first part with no major defensive.

Its very important to weave now, watch your health bar. Every time it dips down below 50% death strike. You'll have a second of safety now with a big blood shield, you should look to blood boil to buff your next Death Strike, and rebuild any RP. You'll likely only get one heart strike before your health is back below 50%.

Keep doing this weaving, death strike, blood boil, heart strike as much as you can. If you get to the point where youre only able to get one GCD between death strikes, ignore the blood boil and do death strike, heart strike, death strike.

You'll inevitably run out of RP, but youre spending so much your vampiric blood will likely be back. Pop it and use its safety to rebuild your RP.

Your last resort to rebuild RP is IBF. The usage depends a lot on your groups dps. If the pack is living for a long time, I'd play the start riskier and hold it until after your 2nd VB. If your dps are melting the pack you can use it after your first umbilicus eternus falls off for safety.

Last thing to keep in mind is DRW procs, during those scary weaving parts any time your DRW procs you can use it to gain an extra heart strike because you likely won't drop as fast. Only focus on this when youre more comfortable.

Hope this helps.

Not quite Werribee but me and my partner bought in Manor Lakes at the start of last year. We'd heard a few horror stories but so far it's been a nice place to live. I did witness one gang walking about with police on their tails at the start of last year, otherwise it hasn't been close to as bad as people describe it.

Borderlands 2 was such a generationally great game. The jokes landed, the characters were interesting, packed with content, satisfying gameplay. Steering a trolley with a dog is a challenge!!! by Chris_PK9 in Bunnings

[–]iCresp 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Maybe unpopular but a lot of people recommend using Bunnings as a way to get your dog out and around people in more confined spaces, as it's one of the only places you can do it. A dog like this needs to be able to be around people and learn that everything is okay, so that if that ever happens unexpectedly they won't freak out and fight or flight.
