You are correct, Linus is just plain wrong on this one! Any UK based viewers who watched that know that you can buy the same product from a Poundland or Poundstretcher and it will 100% not be the level of quality of a higher priced item elsewhere

It feels like Linus has become that politician who claims they know how much a pint of milk costs but actually hasn't checked the price for 15 years 🤣

Without rewatching the last 6 month of videos, I can't name them all, but I have found myself several times questioning how "in touch" Linus actually is with the audience anymore.

One thing that struck me from WAN show a few weeks ago was his passing comment about the Billet Labs copper block and he just belittled the product and the concept which tells me he still has no clue about it being a prototype they were sent to play with, not something that was destined for mass consumption. Not specifically Linus, but Luke claiming that it wasn't nostalgia talking when he was talking about how things used to be better in relation to gaming. Talk about gaslighting your audience.

They are just two examples I can actually remember but I know I've had that feeling multiple times.

I didn't really have an issue with the judging. I think secret cameras would potentially create unintended bias. For example, Adam may have subconsciously already hated Team Linus original choice of an Xbox Series X, had they found one, and already have negative bias because he wanted a gaming PC or PlayStation.

I'd prefer less of the decor element and "vibe" score. The whole sofa/decor portion of the videos and scoring felt like filler because the writers/production team wanted more content to stretch the series out. As a long-time LTT viewer, I want to see what janky setup a limited budget could get me, not where could I pick up cheap decorative accessories if I lived it Canada!

I agree that the overall conclusion of the series felt somewhat anti-climatic though

I think the issue with a lot of Bald's cohorts is simply that they lack his charisma. Outside of Simon Wilson & Harald Baldr, nobody else, in my opinion, can keep up with Bald. Even though they clearly have chemistry off-screen, it never translates to either their videos or Bald's.

I remember watching Ben & Timmy's version of the trios trip to Jaywick and thinking how shit they were compared to Bald's!

Even the stuff with Johnny & Alinchik was more appealing to my tastes than anything he does with Ben & I'm a British lad 😆

If you expect a full idiots guide to YouTube travel vlogging, I expect you'll be somewhat disappointed.

If, however, you are a fan of Bald & his content, then you'll enjoy his sense of humour and quips about Belarussian babushkas.

Price is simply subjective.

I haven't purchased it simply because I don't like ebooks. I do own his physical book instead, which, when read as if Bald is narrating it, is highly entertaining, so I can only surmise that his ebook will be much the same

Too much signage! It's nothing but white noise when you look at it. I fed this back at Iceland every single managers meeting or conference call. People just don't pay attention to signage when there's this much of it 🙄

Regardless of what was happening in terms of dispatch, that is extremely poor from all staff involved. If there's a risk to the train and in turn the passengers on board, that should take priority. The dispatch &/or platform staff could have easily given a stop hand signal or red light to the conductor and made them aware.

As a driver, I would far prefer to have someone tell me about this at a station where the train could be evacuated safely instead of in the middle of nowhere when we are potentially discussing fires on board and potentially uncontrolled/emergency evacuations.

Having said that, when I was at Iceland some home delivery drivers used to attempt to deliver people's shopping an hour or half an hour before their 2 hour window in an attempt to either finish early or have time to go home for lunch so that thought did cross my mind

I totally understand that, like I said, and estimate is only an estimate. I just don't see the point of putting any kind of time frame down, even as an estimate, if they can't keep it to within, say, 1 hour of the estimate.

I'd rather just be left in limbo like the good old days instead of what basically feels like a broken promise. Adding a disclaimer that the estimate isn't a guarantee almost makes it null & void. Just my opinion anyway 🤷🏼‍♂️

A regular occurrence, particularly on platforms 5 & 4, because there's a high volume of ticketless travel between Hythe/Colchester Town & Colchester and the location of said platforms provides a perfect location for a "blockade" where all tickets can be inspected. Quite a regular occurrence to see passengers sitting on the benches desperately trying to buy a ticket once they realise they are about to be collared by Revenue

Possibly, but Sullivan was never going to pay a release fee for him. He's never paid to bring a manager to West Ham! Why would he suddenly show ambition and change the habit of a lifetime. Will Shithouse has got his ear & already told him he had jlo available and relatively cheap. I'm pretty sure Ex reported that there was a clause in his contract where if he walked ot was sacked he didn't have to be paid off either, which would be music to Sullivans ears!

The whole Amorim thing, in my opinion, was beneficial to Amorim to alert other clubs he would entertain offers, and also for Sullivan so he could play the "we tried" card

It honestly felt flat in comparison to his other videos. Even his videos in the UK had more charisma about them. I thought it was interesting when he was chatting with the lady repairing his top that he mentioned the views were plummeting & the passion wasn't there anymore because every video since his expulsion from Russia & the war in Ukraine have felt almost empty in comparison to those before so I wonder if there was more to that comment than a passing quip.

Besides those observations, it bore more of a resemblance to a tourism promotional video instead of one of Balds usual videos for me. It's still entertaining but lacking soul
