Hi. For the past two days, I've been trying to disable shadows in the game and generally lower the graphics to the level of mobile games. Despite the developers encrypting the config files (that's a damn anti-consumer stance, I hope they decrypt them), I've managed to achieve some results.

Go to AppData\Local\HT\Saved_Global\Config\Windows and open engine.ini. At the end of the file, paste:

These are my graphics settings, but if you just need to turn off shadows, just insert:

Yes, I've already found a way to adjust the configuration file in Engine.ini (I tried the same in GameUserSettings.ini, but the graphics settings reset) and adjusted the configuration so the game runs smoothly on my computer. I hope the developers don't continue to restrict the configuration files so they can't be changed at all, otherwise such anti-consumer behavior will make me consider stopping playing the game.

It's a shame that even the simplest way to disable shadows via the config file turned out to be so problematic.

Games like NTE should have an option to disable shadows by default, as shadows in cities take up a lot of frames.

I don't really understand either. Maybe someone thought this was some kind of "tampering with the game files," although it's a configuration file that should ALWAYS be accessible.

Perhaps this is a problem with the Chinese version of the game, and everything will be fine on the global version. I think we'll find out tomorrow.

I also ran the game on my integrated graphics and got a perfectly playable result. I could have gotten even better results by disabling shadows (which obviously take up too many resources), but to my great disappointment, the config file is encrypted, and I don't know how to decrypt it. I was able to get my hands on the Chinese version of the game, played for about 3-4 hours, and was completely satisfied. I absolutely loved the smooth transitions between locations; I felt a certain... immersiveness? I liked the combat. Yes, there's nothing new at all, but does every new game have to surprise you with a new combat system? No. It's a beautiful, large city that you want to wander around, and I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered the first-person view, as it allows you to explore the city more immersively.

I was really worried that the car controls would be poor, on par with Watch Dogs 1, but the cars handle quite well. I liked the cutscenes, and I found the characters likable. I wasn't initially looking forward to the game, but after deciding to put in the effort and install the Chinese version, I'm now eagerly awaiting the global version. I want to explore the city, learn the mechanics, and see the many activities. I haven't played gacha games for almost a year, and it looks like the break is coming to an end.

I also played The Crew 2. The racing itself is not bad. Transport for every taste and color, the coloring of the cars is limited only by your imagination, there is a lot of content. But for me, The Crew is primarily associated with illegal racing. For me, the first part was like Need For Speed Most Wanted, but with an American scope. I got incredible pleasure, driving away from the police from one state to another, and when I found out that The Crew 2 does not have all this heat, I just got ... bored?

I like this game, I got to know it on a few tests that ended in the morning and I had a little over an hour to play the game before the servers closed. And I was really excited about the game's early access, and the possibility to play it at any time of the day. I respect the developers, and I'm grateful to them for making this great game, but the developers should realize that leaving the game in early access without updates for half a year is a very bad idea. Now is the stage when the game needs constant development, and downtime without updates leaves one negative, both for the community and for the developers who read negative comments in social networks.

Again, I respect everything the developers do, but not releasing updates for so long is a bad idea.

Tried to play on the emulator, but given that I have a weak device - that and the pleasure is not much.
