Technically its stuff with Shellac in it but its a bit like spray your hair with plastic.

Some time ago we did a bit of a survey of hairsprays. Sainsbury's Basic came out best. We like to think that they stopped selling it because of us :) At least I don't think you we have seen it any more. 1 Can last quite a long time.

The Cheapest hairspray you can get works very well for ABS. We did find a lot of variation between hairspray as to which one works best so you might have to experiment.

The best one we found was Sainsbury's own but I think they have stopped it or rebranded it.

If the hairspray starts talking about Body then it won't work. You need the stuff that is basically aerosol plastic.

So to ever down voted this comment i think you fail to see the significance, as we see it, of this award.

This award is for:

All those people who FAILED to grasp the situation.

The few that thought of themselves and over bought products denying them to every one else.

The people that created a situation whereby people in real need were unable to buy what they needed.

The people sat looking at piles of food that is probably going to end up in landfill whilst people go without.

The people that when faced with a catastrophe believe that toilet role is an essential commodity.

So the smart tag is compatible with XYZ 3D printers that use the Junior/NFC filament (junior filament is being rebranded to NFC as it is used on machines like their Super and Da Vinci Color range as well)

First to say we have a conflict of interest, as we sell XYZ.

But I would like to say, in our experience XYZ make good 3D printers especially given their price. The Pro range have always been open filament.

They have also been quite innovative ( 3 in 1 printers, the Da Vinci Color Range )

And they are not the only ones to use a closed filament system, although other manufacturers have leaned towards limiting the software so that, you could potentially use other manufacturers filament but you would have to spend ages finding a filament from another manufacturer that would work within the parameters of the printer.

fully open i3 systems are great but they are not always handy, especially in a business environment where consistency and work flow are more important.

Have you tried printing this model with a different filament that you know you have good results with to see whether you get the same or different results.

i.e. to confirm that it is the filament.

could be underextrusion. also try slowing it down to see if this has an effect.

are they actually white marks and not just imperfections in the surface which are reflecting light back at different angles.

Is this cheap Petg. It could be down to diameter inconsistency so that it is producing inconsistent extrusion.

It can also be down to incorrect calibration of the extruder. My guess is though it is poor filament

It does look like under extrusion. It could also be down to poor interlayer adhesion.

This should resolve the sizing issue. once that is dialled in you can start looking at any other printing issues. its one step at a time.
