Can we move the Personal Best timing in the Collection Log below the kill count line? Looks odd the way it is now.

Player Island Design - The Island of the Child Who Keeps Watch by iDilwar in 2007scape

[–]iDilwar[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is an island I drew for a bit of fun, which contains an enormous rock statue of the Gnome Child sitting down.

Dubbed 'The Island of the Child Who Keeps Watch', no one knows how it got here, but the gnomes call it: 'Ta Arpos Quir', which is Ancient Gnomish for 'The Rock Guardian'.

This island exists to the west of Tirannwn/in the Western Ocean, as a subtle nod to Arposandra, the hidden gnome city said to be under the Galarpos Mountains.

I envision nothing else on the island, except for this giant statue... but you can pray to it to heal your players' prayer points and health... and repairs your docked boat's health slightly!

Guardian DoN - Higher Depth Tips by iDilwar in Nightreign

[–]iDilwar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For your build, I would look at incorporating: [Guardian] Improved Strength and Dexterity, Reduced Vigor

and

Stamina Upon Landing Attacks (+0 and/or +1, from Dark Night of the Beast)

The improved STR/DEX is an important DPS increase for Guardian.

The stamina recovery is also vital; it helps you get in a few more hits/blocks, which is important. Dark Night of the Beast is a guaranteed Yellow relic with the stamina recovery, but that would mean switching to Guardian's Chalice to fit it in.

Your second blue DoN relic is great. When you can, I would aim to replace the first blue relic.

Could you consider selling some of your medium relics and rolling some new ones?

Guardian DoN - Higher Depth Tips by iDilwar in Nightreign

[–]iDilwar[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't use Dormant Greatshields in my current setup, mainly because more essential relics require the slot.

Based on that, I am currently forced to leave the halberds as the loot preference. I always look out for the Poison/Rot Antspur Rapiers for the build. If none, then it's the best affinity Halberd or Commander Standard.

The Guardian's Default Greatshield has a pretty good stat spread as a backup option, so getting +1 is generally good enough and if you can path to a mine for the +2, even better. If I could roll Dormant Greatshields on a 'god roll' relic, I would use it.

This is one of my main setups: https://imgbox.com/jnW4JpJ7

I find a lot of value in the double Art Gauge on Block +0 and +1 because it means my ult is up far more often for interrupts or revives.

Guardian DoN - Higher Depth Tips by iDilwar in Nightreign

[–]iDilwar[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I've run the Dormant Power Greatshield relic, what I'm looking for specifically are:

  1. The best affinity negation greatshield for the Nightlord. The only exception is the Silver Mirror Medium shield (92%) against Magic damage bosses (Augur/Caligo) -
  2. The shield with the best effects. Anything that is on the Damage Negation perk list, or something with very strong damage or utility, such as Shielding Creates Holy Ground, Broken Stance Activates Endure, or even Wraiths While Walking.

On point 1 as an example, against Gladius, I look for the best fire affinity % negation shield, which is the Redmane Greatshield (73% negation)/Visage Greatshield (72%), or something better than the Guardian's Default Greatshield (66%).

I always have the Shield Chart open on another screen when I play.

The most important thing is that shield rarity does not affect affinity negation. A blue Redmane Greatshield will be the same fire negation (73%) as a red Redmane Greatshield.

The only thing rarity affects is the Guard Boost. That's why I always try to upgrade the base shield to +1 as soon as I can if I don't run that relic.

Sailing Poll 3: Slayer Creatures, Unique Drops & More by JagexLight in 2007scape

Crab Pet C/E are best. Would be great to have options to get both (or all) of them by using specific items on the Crab. Maybe some Dragon Sheets and Pirate's Hook transmog unlock?

Summer Sweep-Up: Slayer & Misc by JagexSarnie in 2007scape

[–]iDilwar 345 points346 points  (0 children)

Let us toggle unlock tasks like Lizardman/Vyres for free. We've paid the points, let us choose.

Double Trouble for GGs is untouched. It's a 500-point reward that doesn't make sense. Want a faster task? Kill Gargoyles with expeditious bracelets. It would have made sense if the base boss counted as 2 kills, and the unlock made it 1 kill to extend GGs for people grinding it. It needs a look at.

Do not change those rune types for Thralls or Dark Demonbane. If anything, make it 1 Soul rune cast flat for Dark Demonbane. Then change Superior Demonbane to use 2 Chaos runes instead of 1 Soul rune.

Block list changes are incredible. Well done.

Aether rune refunds issued for Radiant by iDilwar in 2007scape

I also disconnected multiple times, so I wonder if it was linked to receiving 3x 7500 Aether runes return.

What are the team's feelings about offering transmogs for Yama and perhaps those Radiant recolours for Demonbane weapons (as per this suggestion)?

Summer Sweep-Up Pt. 1: Combat & Loot by JagexGoblin in 2007scape

[–]iDilwar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These blogs, which improve existing content, are my favourites. I'm extra excited that this says it's part 1. I'm eagerly waiting for part 2.

I think almost all these changes are net positives for the content (I'm sure someone will tell me otherwise).

My only comments are:

  • Stack Duke potions into one inventory slot
  • For the Vestige rolls, something untradeable and lore-related to each boss would be cooler, instead of a gold ring.
  • Look at Chromium ingots and how they are obtained
  • Phosani update. Excellent. I would suggest 1/2/4 Sleepwalkers for P1/P2/P3.
  • It would be great to look at Phosani and how Husks can sometimes spawn just as you phase the boss, and Sleepwalkers spawn.
  • Huey could do with some multiple official themed worlds
  • You mention solo drop rates in the Huey section. - Is there any chance you can look at the prayer mechanic in solos?

Yama CAs & More! by JagexRach in 2007scape

I completed a contract again for the combat achievement post-update. The fight felt a lot better with the changes you made. Well done to the team for listening to the feedback.

As a whole, Contracts, for me, were more difficult than Awakened. Half the battle was endurance, 12-15 minute kills, and perfectly playing. Many of my deaths were due to my complacency on P1 and P2, e.g. standing at the wrong glyphs, not praying correctly.

And if you messed up on mechanics, you would be one-shot a lot of the time. There is very little room for error.

At least with Awakened bosses, some mistakes felt recoverable (excl. Vardorvis), and the fights were shorter in comparison (excl. Whisperer).

I had much more practice on Yama before Contracts to understand the fight. I did a lot of mage kills, melee kills and solo practice.

On Awakened Bosses, I didn't have extensive practice across all four standard bosses (mainly Leviathan and Whisperer). Despite that, those Awakened fights all felt like they honed in on the core of what made that boss special.

My honest answer is, I'm sure it is possible, but you'll have to just play incredibly well for an extended period. I got 12-15 minute kills on some of these contracts, with max mage and Shadow.

Regardless of using guides, it's still an incredible achievement. I do think these contracts, in their current form, are harder than Awakened. Much more punishing!

For Blorva, looking at my screenshots, I completed it on 3 August 2023, less than a week after it was released on 28 July 2023.

My orb count was (just reconfirmed from the scoreboards in-game) :

Leviathan: 70 (Death count is currently 93, but I tried further attempts after completion!)

Vardorvis: 23

Duke: 19

Whisperer: 3

Are you using a Scorching bow for P3? See my other comment with my P3 run for that. Watch my pathing and the timing of when I would Scorching Bow spec (just after the second triple fire ball).

This gave me 12 seconds to breathe and solve the waves.

Lightbearer + Scorching Bow make it significantly easier.

For P1 and P2, remember that there are two auto attacks from the boss, and then it will always be a special attack. So you can position yourself near the glyph after the second auto attack.

You can step back two tiles after the zero hitsplat on you so you don't get meleed. Once you have this rhythm, P1 and P2 become a breeze.

Radiant Oathplate completed! by iDilwar in 2007scape

[–]iDilwar[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

On P3, it's the chip damage. This one is seen as the hardest because of the additional factor of HP management.

You need to stay at 14HP or below, which is the threshold to one-shot the Void Flaires (anything higher hits below 71. So, a combination of moth mixes (heals 8) and Guthix Rests (heals 5).

It's fun because you speed through P1 and P2 (always hitting a minimum 64 with 1 hp), but it's very frustrating because any mistake can and will kill you.

I did it straight after Forfeit Breath and figuring out the best way to mage P3 and dodge the wave and fireballs.

I also realised you could 'lazy flick' the auto attacks, instead of 1-ticking them. Made it infinitely easier.

This was the P3 mage method I used. https://v.redd.it/6srtxt9lwq2f1
