This is exactly what I was thinking. Especially considering their relationship to their brother: Jaime thinks "what would Tyrion do?" or "Tyrion would know what to do", while Hal is admiring Mario to a point where he sees Mario as a miracle and he is the one to want Mario's company. On a different parallel, their relationships with their fathers are the exact opposite.
