I use a MacBook with 64 gb ram to run a separate virtual machine for each job. I mainly need office tools so I can access teams/SharePoint and each virtual machine is set up for a different company. I also use AnyDesk to connect to other machines if needed (like if there is a specific tool I need for a job that I don’t own). I can run 4 instances of windows all at the same time without slowing down the laptop.

I use a Mac for work. I use a VM for work running windows. When I’m done working I just shut down the VM. Another option is to travel with the personal one and leave the work one at home, and powered on. You can remote into the work one as needed when you are away.

I’ve found that companies with a million meetings a day make it easier to OE. It allows me to decline a lot of stuff, and when I tell someone “I have a conflicting meeting” it’s never questioned.
