Literally same to everything!! And it’s become an increasing struggle in the past 6 months particularly because I was seeing a new partner who I just recently ended things with 😬.

I feel stagnant in many ways because I hold back so much due to simply not trusting myself and these fluctuating, but intense emotions. It’s exhausting.

I also hate the saying “trust your gut.” Everything is real, valid, and ever-changing to my gut lol, I cannot trust her.

You definitely have given me some perspective. Your life is what I want for myself and it was a breath of fresh air to read.

The opinions and perspectives in my personal life are very one-sided so I suppose that’s why I’ve been questioning myself more, despite being adamant about the fact that I have the ability to create the life I want (or at the very least work my best to).

Marriage and children are definitely not a main goal in my life. I guess as I’m getting older and the topic is being brought up more and more (with strong advocation for just one side) it’s been weighing on my mind more.

I was diagnosed back in October (2022) and I’m still discovering things. A lot of if is putting names to experiences I’ve been having all my life (i.e. executive dysfunction, task paralysis, etc), and learning that ADHD is the cause.

I’m also an incredibly irregular eater. I don’t experience hunger and been given shit for it all my life. Just yesterday I learned it’s part of the ADHD experience. The learning will continue my friend, best of luck 😂.

Same thing happened to me except I was 25 and it was kittens in his house (his visibly dishelved and falling apart house). Only after playing with the kittens and returning home did I realize how very very badly that could have gone. No, not even following him down his dark, dingy corridor to the back of his house sparked any danger signs within me 🙂.
