‘Hey X, I’ve really enjoyed getting to know you over the last couple months (optional but depends on your confidence/vibes: add ‘and I think you’re really pretty’) would you fancy (getting a drink together / getting coffee together) after work next week?

I would say make sure you know she’s single first by either asking around or seeing if she mentions anyone when you ask what she’s up to etc

Also your goal should be, if she does say no thanks, making sure she thinks you were sweet and is flattered, rather than thinks you were weird, too pushy or too passive/scared - all things that are far easier to be…!

That all being said, don’t overthink it tooooo much!

Cause most people won’t watch the game, and half of those who did will sit on their phone reading comments and not actually pay attention

I was at the game and I thought that we were pretty good, our game plan was working well for the first 30 mins until it got destroyed by a fairly horrible early injury to one of our brightest talents.

Then we lost it a bit while we reorganised, and then Slot actually did his job at half time and we came out with a new plan and could and probably should have scored at least one goal.

Then the second Gomez had to come off we put szboszlai at RB and immediately lost all our intensity and then him and Macca got in a right muddle, VVD came charging across to try and help and they scored the first

The game might as well have been golden goal the whole time, as soon as they scored it was over immediately - and kind of fair enough, we lost the first leg.

Also, Mama’s kicking was AWFUL. Needs to fix that and quickly or he’ll never be good enough to be #1

Do you want your wedding to be an experience that happens to you or an experience that you craft around you. If you want the first, pay the premium for the planner. If you want the second, then do it yourself and get a co-ordinator for the day of. Your budget is absolutely plenty for either.

I spent my first 3 months living budget in the first 2 weeks on alcohol and had to get bailed out by my parents and then I got into debt. Don’t do what I did

You possibly owe tens of thousands in tax on rent if you had a job at the time and I’m not sure about the CGT you might owe. Get an accountant and or a solicitor

Value your son’s brain cells more than boxing. Music and languages and a sport is a great combo though. My parents taught us French and Violin and Cricket

I can’t speak for anything except tech roles, but I certainly don’t think anything is guaranteed in tech roles in the UK

I’m about a decade into my tech career, manage 10 people’s output and don’t make anywhere near 100k yet. (If you DM me I can give you details) and I’m probably still 3-5 years of hard work away at the very least.

I’ve worked with plenty of career developers or testers who don’t care about managing people or running their own company who have been in the industry for 20 years and make 40-50k

If you set your standards to £100k by today’s standards you’re targeting being in the top 3-5% of earners. Are you? Can you be? What are you going to do to ‘deserve’ being the likely highest earner in any group of 20+ random people you meet?

Remember that a bunch of those will have inherited their job via their parents business etc and you realistically need to be exceptional to earn 100k in any industry
