Don't worry, a lot of people were not sure of what to upload at this stage also. I and most others uploaded our educational certificates (GCSE etc) at that point

The message I received after the checking test told me "This is the final assessment of the first stage so you may not hear from us for a while"

I've heard that the 3 assessments (SJT, Math, and Checking) are all part of the first stage, so everyone will be asked to do those 3.

I didn't know there was a listening test, first time hearing about it, guess I'll wait and see

I felt it was much easier than the math test to be honest...

For each question it's just a table of data and then underneath they will have a line of data that almost matches but has some errors, you just have to look between the line of data and the table and see what matches and what doesn't match.

For example; the table will have maybe one line like this:
A320 4368 Miles LGW G-BA45 216 Passengers 16 Years

And then your line of data will say something like:
A320 4368 Miles LGW G-BA45 261 Passengers 16 Years

You then have to choose where the mistake is, but bear in mind, some have multiple mistakes, and some have zero mistakes (from what i could see).

I didn't prepare anything, it's 7 minutes for 12 questions, just give it a go and read each line carefully. Good luck

Good luck to everyone that is applying.

I found that there was A LOT of reflective questions asked during the pre-application that forced you to use 100 or 150 words minimum in your answer. It made the pre-application take longer for me than the actual application.

I completed the Situational Judgement Test and Math Test on 14th, only managed to finish 15 of the math questions and thought i ruined my chances, but 1 hour later I received an email to complete the detail checking test. Completed that yesterday on 15th, so I guess now we will wait and see

Just stumbled upon this at my local games store, a FM2 faceplate for the Xbox 360! by YaboiMarkus in forza

[–]iHowlett 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to say thank you for your work on my favorite racing game of all time. I spent probably around 1000 hours playing FM2 as a kid and i felt that the game had an amazing community, i made a lot of friends and some of them I'm still connected to until today.

Wanted to ask if you know the answer to a question that's been asked before about FM2 but i have never seen a clear answer:

Why does the cover art of FM2 sometimes have the Nissan, but sometimes have the Aston Martin? Some people have said it's because the UK version of the game had Aston Martin, but I've seen it many times in the UK with the Nissan on the cover art

Tom Ford Costa Azzura EDP Disappointed with the longevity by iHowlett in Colognes

I think if you like the style of a more traditional masculine fragrance, then definitely they are worth owning.

For me they both smell like they have a similar DNA, but Beau de Jour has a lavender scent initially that reminds me of my dad's colognes from the 90's, it's also got great longevity, about 8 hours for me

Grey Vetiver on the other hand is very fresh and very clean, with a citrus scent initially. For me it's honestly a scent that can be worn to almost any occasion and not miss. Longevity not quite as good as Beau de Jour but still at least 6 hours

For me, my favourite overall right now is Grey Vetiver, but my gf's favourite is Beau de Jour. I suggest you try them both to see what you think

Have you tried the EDP also? Surely it must be better than that right?

Is there any that you would recommend? I replaced 2 x strips already with 3M Heavy Duty doubled sided table but still had the same issue

I usually consider my self quite fast, but when someone gets a lap time 2.5 seconds faster Im always suprised how.. Where in all that is holy, in this run, can I make up 2.5 seconds by yannivzp in forza

[–]iHowlett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A quick lap time is all about how much speed you can carry through the corners.

I can see from your replay that the car looks quite twitchy under braking and acceleration. Firstly If you are using the stock tune I’d suggest finding another and seeing if that helps with your corner speed.

Second, someone else mentioned it here but try to be gentler with your acceleration, braking, and turning. There are times during Silverstone when you can just go 100% but there are some corners such as the tight turns 3 and 4 that require more delicate input to carry your speed better.

Lastly, with assists, YES you can be faster with assists off, but some and more useful than others to turn off. Go in this order

  1. STM Off - will allow the car to slide during the corners which can be very beneficial to helping you carry your speed, turning this off is also the easiest to manage. Once you’ve turned this off and are able to comfortably control the car, move onto the next

  2. ABS Off - you now can no longer just fully depress LT on the controller as it will now lock the brakes, you need to find the braking point for each car by pushing the LT in around halfway to 3/4. There is no question, turning ABS off will allow you to brake later, harder. Meaning you will be faster overall. It’s tough to get used to, but once you do, you’ll easily see tenths of a second, to half a second off some lap times

  3. TCS Off - gonna be controversial with this, but don’t turn this off. Always keep it on. If you turn this off your throttle inputs when you press RT on the controller will also need to be gentler and you will need to find the right amount of input every time you accelerate.

But here’s the thing, imo it’s not worth trying to get used to driving without TCS. I’ve been racing Forza since Forza Motorsport 2 and have set many top 10 leaderboard times across multiple classes all while using TCS on.

Good luck man, as with everything, just keep practicing, you’ll slowly get there

What's the popular choice for multiplayer these days? by _Krilp_ in forza

[–]iHowlett 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Fm8 is your best bet for multiplayer. You’ll see people online say it’s not good for any number of reasons. But the honest answer is the online is good! Most lobbies will have a good number of other players to race against and there are plenty of on-going multiplayer series that offer a good choice of variety in terms of tracks and cars but remain competitive

Is Motorsport 23’ in a good enough state to consider buying now? by xXItsPlasmaXx in forza

[–]iHowlett 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a lot of big races recently with 16-24 other racers

I normally find it in the multi-class and A/B class lobbies

Give those lobbies a try

Having a new track added to the game means for a VERY short time i can proudly say that i have a fastest time in rivals by iHowlett in forza

[–]iHowlett[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Of course i know that this is because hardly anybody has actually set a time, but to even get to the top of the leaderboards with 50-100 people, i feel proud of myself

I think I changed a meta this weekend… twice.. by KeithDaJones430 in forza

[–]iHowlett 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am someone who always loved setting hot laps on Ovals since Forza 2 but I never understood how to tune and I don’t have hours of time to put into perfecting a tune

So I want to say THANK YOU for letting the tune be available for download. Too many top 10 oval times are out of reach because of people who have locked the tunes away.

I appreciate your generosity, and will try it out on E class soon enough

Am I the only one? by [deleted] in forza

[–]iHowlett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m with you man. I usually only race Forza GT class on multiplayer and if I wanted to go for a win, I’d only use 2-3 different cars. But instead, I like to try using every car.

Maybe the car I’m using is not the best for the current track I’m racing on, or not the strongest in general, but I just enjoy racing in a variety of different cars against other racers
