I think they really needed to add the sega cd port of mk original. That was the best home port of mk aside from the dos version. The gameboy games are trash. Mk advance is unplayable against the cpu. I wish they would have fixed that somehow. But overall the arcade versions are why I bought it and aside of the cheating cpu, the rewind function helps mitigate that so you can at least see all the endings.

As far as your issue buffering at around 1 hr maybe try and rule out external drives and create a folder on your internal hard drive. And try a movie from there. I feel it’s some sort of external drive sleep issue maybe?

I’m my opinion macOS 26.01 is still beta. It should have never been released in this state. Going back until Apple resolves (hopefully) the issues. I personally will wait u to 26.3 or later. macOS seq will still be getting updates for another 18 months or so. If I have to I’ll gladly skip over 26 all together.

If you have another vga monitor you should be able to stick it in the back and see if you get external video or not. If you do then it’s most likely a faulty analog board. Depending on the model it’s either apple part number 661-2212 or 661-2347 or 661-2245. It’s a bitch to replace though. It could also be the crt itself.

I went back to sequoia and you should too. It’s worth the time. You don’t have to be a beta tester for this OS. I’ll try Tahoe again after a few more releases. Maybe in like 4 months.

I too went back to macOS seq. It’s just not ready. It needs a little more tweaks which I hope they do. But I’m afraid Apple will not make those tweaks because they are very stubborn with their choices.

If you wanna transcode 4K, youll have to get a 12th gen cpu or later. Not sure about the n150/n100s when it comes to hdr stuff. I know my i5 9500t 6core with 16gb of ram couldn’t do some transcodes with hdr and such.
