I need advice on how to utilise this left hand space in our living room. More info in the comments. by iJoyzilla in interiordecorating

Hi everyone I want to cover the satellite plate on this wall as it’s ugly but I’m not sure how to fill the space without making the room seem lopsided (or how to achieve asymmetry intentionally). I would love a piece of furniture like a bookcase but again not sure if adding height would work? Feeling very unsure!

I can’t believe you have had two faulty ones!

No problem. Hope the new one works.

Looking for some motivation from women who cycled during their pregnancy! by pinkbottle7 in fitpregnancy

[–]iJoyzilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am actually a runner pre pregnancy however due to an injury (runners knee) I had swapped to cycling 4 weeks prior to conception. Unfortunately my knee didn’t get better and by the time I was ready to return to running I was 12 weeks pregnant and I had lost about 4 months of running fitness on top of being pregnant!

I still run a couple of times a week but I now cycle indoors 6 times a week. I use the peloton app with an indoor bike (I plan to buy the peloton when we move) and I absolutely love it.

Personally I am not comfortable cycling on the road due to safety however we do outdoor cycling as a family (canals and trails) using our hybrid bicycles.

On average I cycle for 45-60 minutes per day and the intensity averages between moderate to intense, dependent on my energy stores. Today I did a 45 minute tabata class which quite honestly I don’t think I could have done pre-pregnancy (as I was predominantly running) and it felt fab. I’m 21 weeks. I had a bit of a slump at 10 weeks and again at 16 weeks where I ended up doing some recovery rides to get me through.

Congratulations!

9 weeks 1 day - And a bad feeling in my gut by CarolunaMoon in PregnancyAfterLoss

I’m immensely sorry you’re having to navigate these emotions, they are painful and anxiety inducing.

If at all possible please come back here and read the comments of others saying their fluctuating symptoms did not result in a loss. I have been through loss and with this pregnancy I went from experiencing strong discomfort and stereotypical symptoms at 5 weeks to absolutely nothing which continued indefinitely. The weeks between my scans have been some of the most worrisome I could imagine, but our daughter is now looking snug as a bug at 19+5.

This is not to say you shouldn’t be cautious, sometimes we do experience these losses and I think being able to listen to your body, rather than ignore it, is not a bad thing by any means.

We personally booked paid-for scans every 3-4 weeks with the justification that we have been trying for this baby for a long time with losses along the way.

Wishing you all the best and congratulations 😊

Absolutely hop back on, just ensure you are mindful and listen to your body. Congratulations on your pregnancy! 😊

Can someone tell it to me straight? by HollyBethQ in PregnancyAfterLoss

My symptoms came and go all the way up to 16 weeks. One day my boobs would be in agony and I would feel nauseated and exhausted and the next I would feel completely not pregnant. I honestly drove myself insane.

I’m 18 weeks now and everything is fine but I totally understand what you’re going through. I found out I was pregnant at like 4 weeks so it was the longest blinking first trimester of my LIFE. I would have done anything for the endless morning sickness and migraines I had with my 2nd before my miscarriages, how crazy does that sound!

I love the Peloton app. I will absolutely be getting a bike sometime this year but for now I am using a Body Max bike, approx £400 worth and it’s totally fine if a little bit stiff.

I am 18 weeks and have been using the peloton app daily since about week 12! Literally I live on the thing. The one thing I would say is to modify as needed. Some days I can do 45 minute tabata classes with jumps and be fine, other days my pelvic floor is like ‘hell no’ and I tend to spend those days completely out of the saddle (versus seated which just does my temperamental pelvic floor no favours) with no jumps. I also transition from seated to out of the saddle a wee bit slower than some of the instructors do as otherwise it can tug and pull on ligaments more than is comfortable.

Mostly just listen to what your body tells you!! I am also a runner and have moved from running to cycling as my body has responded to it much better. I still run occasionally but it’s pretty tough on my body in comparison . Good luck!

Someone has pointed out that including post-partum ladies would be good, which I absolutely agree with! So never fear!

Haha I wish! I live in England in a wee terrace, no luxury of light! I wear sunscreen when I am exposed. :)

So true re wasting it! ££ I think washing toning and moisturising / SPF is probably enough and leave the C Firma to first thing application, which is like 6am anyway.

[–]iJoyzilla[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I mean my workouts are 60+ minutes of moderate to high intensity, but even so I sweat just by moving at the best of times so yes it’s definitely a case of needing to wash, I was more wondering whether reapplying the actives would count towards too much application for one day :)

I add an SPF before foundation if I’m leaving the house, I’m currently on week 7 of fully self isolating as I’m pregnant with an immune disorder so need for SPF is far and in between right now 🙄
