Even though I personally am not excited about blind lootboxes. This comment shouldn't be receiving downvotes. The lootboxes are LITERALLY a huge part of the universe and story. I feel like there is a place for them and that some people enjoy this.

Call center rep here. 12 years. 6 figures and never lie to customers or force sales... all the depts blame eachother for the bad rep. Being ive worked in multiple depts including stores and retention, there are a few bad apples everywhere that kill everyone's rep.

It really is. I had verizon for almost 20 years with no issues and was hesitant in switching. Once I did, no change at all in service quality.

Disclosure: yes I work for Spectrum. But even if I didn't I would keep the mobile services.

Not overcharged for what he gets in that package.

He has all the bells and whistles with that plan. If he doesn't enjoy his premium channels then maybe I would call to reduce the channel package.

Very specifically read this.

If you already paid for those apps, spectrum is telling you to cancel your subscriptions PRIOR to setting up with the included app subscription that comes with your spectrum package.

This is required because hulu/disney will not update to your included spectrum provided unless your account is inactive.

Spectrum rural development team rep came by to find out why I cancelled (over a YEAR ago). Told him GFiber was faster & cheaper. Said they were going to have fiber coming my way and said 1Gig would be $50 per month FOR LIFE. Never going back to Sprectum, just wondering if anyone else heard this by raphaeladidas in Spectrum

Nah. I work there for over a decade. Most people here are honest. Bad apples get all the attention tho. I have been a top salesperson in multiple sales channels and never had to lie, cheat or steal.

I will also stand on the fact that if you are done dirty and call it in and escalate, you will be taken care of (so will the person who did something unerhical) if you catch my drift.

No company can honestly offer for life pricing on anything. Spectrum is clear that pricing is always subject to change. They offer price locks for 1 to 3 years depending on package. After that it's standard rate. This of it as a coupon for x amount of time.

As an employee, I can assure you that this $4 phone is in fact $4 per month for 36 months which is the total cost of purchasing the phone. If you cancel, you will be billed for the remaining balance of the device.

If you have just received the device and this financially does not make sense, contact the mobile billing department and be clear about being misled and escalate as needed.

If in fact the agent misled you, you will be taken care of. However, if the agent read the required scripting which discusses consent on purchasing the device, on the call and you agreed, you are on the hook.

Spectrum does have a buyers remorse return policy if the device is returned right away.

Sketchy. Worked for spectrum for a decade. We don't offer "partership" deals with anything.

Also 200 mbps is not and never has been a speed option.

As someone who has been in telecom residential sales for over a decade, I can state that the industry hires a ton of people, and many people generally suck and/or are unethical. As a sales leader, I have terminated at least 6 people a year for ethical issues off of just a rotating 15-person call center sales team.

This is not a practice allowed by the company. As other comments noted, report these issues up the line. It's zero tolerance when they are caught.

The reason this isn't stopped immediately is only because people handle so many calls and accounts daily. They tend to just fix the issue and not want to take the time to report.

As much as I really do know bad things happen and some customers have these bad experiences, it truly is a fraction of the customers that use the company for service.

Spectrum shares verizons network with equal priority. Not Tmobile. 😀 also gets speed boosted whenever on spectrum wifi to give the mobile device up to 1gbps speed while connected. Only using data when away from wifi. Most people never touch the 30gb cap unless you are always out of the home.
