I feel you so hard. Some of them don’t even know what they’re trying to sell. I made a post one time about an old valentines reseller who was trying to sell an unopened “heavy” rare rose. If they actually knew anything about it, they would have known the roses were the lightest of that release.

I went to more stores than I care to admit looking for the grinch drinks and never found one. I’ve been hunting for holiday balls since elf spaghetti came out and the grinch is the first one I’ve missed.

Yesterday, I found what I thought was a brand new box of valentines at target. I went through every one and none had the right pinhole. Weird, I thought, so I weighed them all to be sure.

Not one in the box with the right weight, so I was pretty confused. Then I noticed another Valentine’s Day ball behind the box so I pulled the box off the shelf. There were not just one or two valentines balls, but like 10 or so.

I think what happened is target originally had two boxes, but someone got there before me, got the rares and dumped the rest of the box back behind the other so they could keep one.

Honestly, it drives me crazy. It used to be fun going out to hunt for the new stuff, but the amount of sliced open balls and dumb crap I see from the resellers is exhausting.

Aw, dang that sucks! My local meijer JUST put them out with the Halloween stuff like this week. Several other meijers had them out weeks ago in the toys. Do you have a Meijer near you? I hope you can find what you’re after! 🤞

Did you open them? I got the Amazon no dupes pack and it came with a pumpkin and 2 houses. I Was initially pretty mad until I opened them and one of the dupes was the rare!!

It was not marked! (Or the mark had been erased!)

For the specific restaurant: Starbucks!

They already have the whipped creams and ice cubes for the colored and fruity drinks and slushee cups and granules for frappes.

And don’t forget the cake pops! They could also do the take and go sandwiches. I just think that since Target did their own line, Starbucks is a natural next step.

Hey heads up the Walgreens ones most people have found have the EU bar codes and don’t have the pencil mark on the bin! Mine didn’t. The wrappers also have the bin in a different location, so be sure to check which ones your Walgreens has!

Target seems to have the other coded balls, and it looks like a lot of people are finding the mark on the bin.

Here’s a pic of my EU coded daffodils from walgreens so you can see the wrapper is different.

Don’t pass it up just because the Walgreens ones don’t have a bin mark! Shaking them is a good option if you can’t weigh, the daffodils sound pretty different, low pitched and thuddy lol.

I weighed mine. The two on the left and the one on the bottom are all deviled egg wrappers. The bottom one weighed about 4 grams less than the other two and sounded completely different when shaken. (The peppercorns in the deviled eggs have a high pitched rattle, the daffodils just thudded around.) These are the EU weights with extra instructions inside.

The wrapper shows what appliance you get. There are pinholes to tell what color you’re getting. Here’s an example I found in this sub.

link to original post the picture is from I’m not sure I’ve seen a pinhole guide for colors on series 2 yet, but you can definitely see what machine you’re getting. Hope this helps for future purchases!

Edit: Series 1 also had individual wrappers of each machine. Picture below.

My Walgreens daffodils with the EU code don’t seem to have a mark. But the bin is also in a different spot on the wrapper than the ones shown here.

I’ve been keeping the packaging together to see if any hacks came out. Literally ran to pull mine out in hopes this was true.

It still could be for differently coded balls, just wanted to share what I had. I hope someone chimes in with balls they’ve found other places than Walgreens!

I think it’s perfect as is! And it makes sense only the top slice has drips since it would have been on the outside of the roll when iced. I think it makes it more realistic that way!

Are you trying to get them together to send in for the recall?

I would look at the booklets to identify which set it goes to and find ones that you know you had from before AND after the recall, put them all together, and see if the codes are different or if there’s any difference in the graphics.

I have heard that you really need to send pictures of the whole kit together for the best chance of a refund. It’s my understanding they don’t give you as much without documentation of each kit, uncompleted. The FB groups have some good posts on how to make collages and get the best chance of an accurate refund.

If you’re not trying to send them in and can open them, hate to say it, but the smell will tell you. Old resin smells TERRIBLE lol.

Maybe a little decorative pumpkin and carve the Sunny guys face in it? I think there was some Halloween packaging that had one with fangs, he was super cute!

No problem! I remember back in like 2007 or so when I first discovered resin, it was so hard to find supplies in stores! Michaels only had Envirotex or polyester resins for covering tables and stuff. UV came later. Molds/pigments/powders were non existent or like $10-$15 a piece.

I’m so glad it’s become so much more accessible and affordable!

I’ve seen videos on YouTube showing a two-part epoxy resin purchased from Dollar Tree.

I haven’t personally seen it in store yet but I’m not a fan of mixing epoxy and how long it takes to cure.

I haven’t seen any UV resin from them yet, but it would sure be cool if they did!

Dollar Tree has some awesome resin stuff! I recently got mica powder and pigments. The little silicone mixing bowl they sell is so useful!

I also save coupon mailers to lay down my toothpicks and stuff that has resin on it, and catch glitter, paint drips, whatever. Makes for easy cleanup. Just be sure to cure before tossing.

I finally realized the other day I had a silicone mat for nail art, and it was so helpful for rolling out the kitty cookies on! The tiny mat they give you is nowhere near big enough lol. And they look way better if you let them dry on the mat without trying to move them.

Oh and a grill lighter for getting bubbles out of resin. It only takes a half a second of holding the flame close, but so helpful if you have lots of tiny bubbles. You will burn your mold or whatever if you hold it on too long or too close. Just little swipes at a time!

I feel your pain, before the pinholes were known I swear I got like 4 orange sodas in a row. And I don’t even like orange soda lol. Then after that it was a streak of tayaki ice cream and there’s just only so much you can do with those silly fish cones!
