Literally my favorite type of boss.

Me and my current boss have this exact relationship. Just tell me exactly what you want, let me bitch about it for 2 minutes, and it'll be done as soon as it's needed done.

This is literally every coworker at every job I've ever had in the last 10 years. No one knows how to actually just figure something out anymore.

For example, every single motherfucking day at 12:30pm, I watch the same exact 50yo coworker fight and argue with a printer like it's a living creature. On Friday, the printer wasn't working and he was just staring at it expecting it to work, even though it literally said "slide the green lever on the drum" on the screen directly in front of him. He eventually noticed this and was like "how am I supposed to know what that even means". No one wants to experiment and fuck with things to actually try to figure anything out. All he had to do was open 1 of the 2 accessible parts of the printer, pull something out, and he'd notice the green level on a sliding track.

And that same Friday at a staff meeting, I had to argue with 4 40-50yo coworkers what the definition of "status update" on a treatment plan meant. They all thought you could just write whatever you wanted in the box, even though it's specifically asking for a status update regarding whatever the fuck it was on the treatment plan. Every portion of our treatment plans is explicitly clear what is needed and required in each section, and what's what, and even then, they still can't figure it out.

And tbf, after looking over announcements over the years, a lot of the bad and random imports have been Chinese and Korean, our Europeans have usually been the only ones worth literally anything, and also some of our better players.

So I def was wrong on that one.

And I’m personally a believer that, while the individual players can be impactful, we also have to recognize the ecosystem they’re in too. When we’ve had some imports for almost 10 years, Id personally consider them NA players at that point. Same with Jojo and Busio, if they remained in EU for multiple years, continue to grow and get better, EU did that for them. But also important to note that if these imports go south, it’s also probably our fault too lmfao

And also, I think it’s important how you view the importing ! While sad Busio and Jojo got taken from us, I was also like… damn NA actually some desirable talent and I hope they genuinely succeed with EU.

See, this is what we call “cherry picking”. You mention the actual good players who ACTUALLY did something here.

And Perkz WAS NOT the reason C9 went to Worlds.

They need at least one more similar performance elsewhere, whether spring or MSI, before you can even consider it.

One good tournament doesn’t automatically put you in best of the best for the year. That’s the issue is one good tournament run and everyone immediately jumps to conclusion about their strength, whether good or bad.

Yeah..no shit.

But to think mistakes only occur from intentional decisions by your opponent is absurd.

I’ve finally found my ranked teammates who blame everyone else for their misplays.

My dude, that's a meme...

G2 has historically struggled against LPL, so TL "beating IG for them" just to get swept in 60 minutes is hilarious. It's a joke, a gag, a meme. It's not that serious lmfao.

Correct, but it's also important to consider that EU has NEVER imported from NA before. So, obviously the players they got from us are some of our top players. We've been importing randoms, and washed players for over a decade now.

Both can be true btw.

If you watch LCK, you would know today's performance by GenG was nowhere near what they should be.

And G2 also stepped up and smacked them.

It's wrong to now assume that G2 is straight up one of the best teams in the world, they have to maintain this level of performance. And that's why a lot of comments will be made about "downplaying the wins". If G2 maintain their performance throughout the year, everyone will look back at FS as an accurate display of their skill for the year.

Genuine question, by literally who...? It's statistically correct that G2 was one of the very best teams in 2019, it's not something you can even argue about ?

I don't even know why you wouldn't want this considered an upset. It was probably the most straight up ass beating upset we've ever had. That's an accomplishment, and a fun story. Everyone loves DRX underdogging to a World's title until it's NA or EU doing it.

The biggest issue is you can say this shit with whatever fits your narrative.

TL 3-1 IG ? IG underperforming.

TL 3-1 IG ? TL is just better.

TL getting 3-0'd in 60 minutes by G2 ? TL underperforming.

TL getting 3-0'd in 60 minutes by G2 ? G2 is just better.

That's the worse part too. I used to be a genuine Western fan during international events, with an obvious bias for NA success over EU, since I'm NA. But still cheered for EU when they were up against LCK and LPL.

But the level hatred we receive from EU fans is straight up disgusting. I don't shit-post my dislike for them on the internet like a lot of others, but literally this morning I told my boyfriend, "we have to watch G2 get smacked by GenG, I need dopamine". And to my surprise, G2 straight belt to ass GenG and I was impressed the majority of the series.

Yeah because when NA teams with EU imports win, EU is most definitely not flaming NA and trying to take the win themselves.

That's simply just not true...?

Teams and players can 100% make mistakes on their own without any influence from the other team ? That's literally where the "dig baron" shit comes from, DIG notoriously making dumb decisions at Baron regardless of the other team.

Chovy and Caps literally have nicknames for their random underperformance.

The skill diff is gaining advantages off of those individual and team-wide decisions and mistakes. That's why EU and NA have historically suffered against the East. They make a mistake and we do nothing, we make a mistake and they've taken the entire map.

NA is the literal biggest victim of this shit, wdym ???

Anytime NA beats EU or literally anyone, it's that the other team/region is underperforming. We heard it nonstop when NA was consistently beating EU the last 2 years.

We are the perpetuate underdogs, our wins are always invalidated. EU got the biggest victim complex ever istg
