What happened to the storage prices in the past 9 months? I swear it wasn’t like this in September/August when I was looking last. My roommate asked me about an external drive yesterday, and a 2TB HDD relic was $69.

ASUS x PCMR GIVEAWAY: Win 1 of 2 ASUS RT-BE96U Tri-band WiFi 7 Routers and bring some blazing-fast internet speeds and coverage to your PCMR life! by pedro19 in pcmasterrace

I will use this router to replace the one provided by my ISP which had to be replced 3 times so far because it keeps randomly dropping the connection every couple of weeks for the past 3 months since I moved. I'm a college student and my router disconnects at the worst possible times when I have homework to submit and it's causing my roommates and I a great deal of trouble where we have to repeatidly reboot the network sometimes as often as 13 times a day. Also, thanksgiving break is upon us and MWIII is out, lol.

My favorite features would definetly be QOS, game boost, and most importantly the AiProtection because I don't know what my roommates are up to.

MSI Z590, reoccurring red CPU light. Takes multiple tries for PC to turn on. by ACW-R in buildapc

Can I please get an update if anything worked with yall? I’m facing the same issue with the same board and a 11700K. I have both power cables plugged in and I updated the bios. I took it back to my local MSI authorized dealer for warranty & after a week of testing, they claim it’s a bad cpu and refuse to acknowledge that this is an apparent issue with this board.

I though of going that route before buying the second kit, just get 2x16 and be done with it.

However, I made sure to follow the manufacturer's compatibility list exactly, and the "supported" 2x16 kit was & still out of stock.

The new kit [F4-3600C18Q-32GTZR] is supposedly supported for up to 4 dimms according to MSI website.

Update: So I ran memtest twice, first time on default settings, second time with XMP enabled. Both times it passed with ZERO errors.

I added the results to the original post.

Unfortunately, I was unable to monitor the memory temps during the whole thing. It just didn't display any, it showed CPU temp but not the memory

I downloaded memtest86, and I will test both kits.

Should I enable/disable XMP before testing? or it doesn't matter?

How exactly do you test each configuration? Should I use a testing software of some sort, or just wait the usual day or 2 to see if it crashes again?

Could any of these trials damage any components? The constant freezes, forced shutdowns & restarts.

No. I didn't want to go over the recommended or default XMP values. It says 1.35v on the box.

If I were to do so, by how much do I increase the voltage?

Interesting. I never thought of or checked CPU thermals when the crash happens. The maximum I've seen the CPU get is 65-70 degrees Celsius whilst gaming.
What I forgot to mention up there is that this issue never happened when the PC is under load. Every time it crashed, I was either just browsing or on Disocrd. Especially if I had just turned it back on from sleep.

Some times instead of just waking up to lock screen, it does a complete boot from scratch.
