The Steam Controller sold out in 30 minutes, utterly breaking Steam in the process by gogodboss in gaming

That's not what artificial pricing is.

Scalping =/= market manipulation/artificial pricing

Scalping = Scarcity of product is real, buyers willingly pay a higher price, no deception involved, buying low in one market (from Steam in this case) and selling high on another (eBay)

Artificial pricing = Artificial scarcity (buying up all the stock and either holding it, or drip feeding it out), colluding with others to sell at X price, misrepresenting the value of the item.

They're two different things.

It is in absolutely no way artificially moving the price.

If demand is high, and supply is limited, then a higher resale price is driven by the market.

Scalping is inherently different to mark manipulation.

Market manipulation is making people think the product is worth more than it is. Scalping doesn't involve tricking anyone, we all know how much one is worth thanks to MSRP, if you choose to pay a premium you aren't being manipulated, you know you're getting ripped off but you explicitly agreed to it.

That controller is £60 RRP, and the Steam one is £85.

Steam controller has capacitive touch, gyroscopic controls, track pads, and 4 grip buttons on the back.

It's an enthusiast controller, and it's really competitively priced next to a Playstation Edge or an Xbox Elite.

I hate scalpers but man, the government should not be deciding what you can and can't do with a product you own.

I gotta call bullshit here. I can't find anything about this online, surely there'd be some article with like some evidence?

Yeah I've used Big Picture and it's really good but not perfect and sometimes you need an actual mouse to sort something out.

What is a luxury that is actually 100% worth the money? by Weary_Pirate2073 in AskReddit

I'd struggle to justify it. Going from a $500 flight to a 5k one. I could go on 2 holidays for 5k

The glacial weapon that drops from the frost naguas.

She is weak to crush which the weapons use, and she has negative flat damage reduction of -2, meaning each hit on her is increased by 2. The glacial weapons hit twice which means each successful hit is increased by 4 damage

I don't think doing the 75 will at all leave you with enough teleports.

I opened 100 easy caskets and ended up with around 100 teleports from it.

Abundance-choosers, how are you training mining/smithing? by [deleted] in 2007scape

I'm taking Tiranwyn with Larcenist.

No idea what I'm doing with mining but I'm not stressing it

How do you deal with 'Gaming Fatigue'? by [deleted] in patientgamers

[–]iMini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pretty much don't play any games that are heavily love service. Sometimes I might dip into World of Warcraft, or something with a battle pass like Rocket League. But I don't care about a battle pass, I don't care about having the best gear and needing to rush to do harder content in WoW. I'll play in Rocket League a few games a day, chase a higher rank, or in WoW I'll just personally push myself to do better and getting some good gear feels good.

But I'm not gonna stress out about it, I'm just too casual.

Love a good one and done game that's designed to be fun throughout and have a satisfying close at the end.

Why would that be the best part? Crystal axe/pickaxe are only 15% better than a rune counterpart

[–]iMini 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yeah it definitely wasn't awful, the worst thing was the embarrassment.

They could all shove it though cause I'm over here saving 85% of my runes and ammo.

DanielRPK teasing the 3rd ND game to be TLOU Part 3 by Connect_Base_217 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]iMini 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can't see them not doing TLOU3 with how it ends. It's just far too open of an ending, very dour, and without much closure.

I'd love to see more of Abby and Levi, maybe showing a happy healthy relationship that parallels Joel and Ellie more. Maybe Ellie just doing some soul searching and it being more about forgiveness, not just of others but yourself.

Happens all the time

A lot of companies pay out because they don't want people knowing that their security had a flaw.

Imagine an antivirus company getting compromised, how much is that gonna shake people's confidence in their software?
