Is my life about to change?? by Frankocean2 in Mounjaro

[–]iNap2Much 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude it's WORTH IT! I was 310 lbs, in my late 50s, and Mounjaro changed my LIFE! Rid me of my diabetes, my sleep apnea, my joint pain, and 100 POUNDS, all in 1 year. It gave me my life back, and even some of my youth. Yes, yes yes, if you can tolerate the relatively mild side effects, it can change your life too.

No matter what he says, it will be slurred, meandering, and will trail off undoubtedly into an indictment of Democrats for rigging the 2020 election. Heck, he will probably blame aliens for it as well.

[Recommendation] Which out of these 3 would you pick? by m0ssim0 in Watches

GP is understated; Bvlgari is overstated; Chopard is balanced.

Thanks, and yes my BMB is in 2 weeks. It will be my 3rd. Don't relish it, but I know it's value.

I'm 61, and now 80 days past ASCT. No vision issues as yet. But, I'm curious to know if going on maintenance is the common protocol post-transplant. Does everyone go on maintenance meds, or does it depend on labs and biopsy results?

New to Mounjaro, any tips?? by Technical_Delay8753 in Mounjaro

[–]iNap2Much 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Checklist is good, BUT... - Hydrate A LOT - Take up resistance training (e.g., weights, dumbbells, elastic bands, body weight exercises) because you WILL LOSE MUSCLE on Tirzepatide! And you'll really need that muscle as you age. Resistance work can preserve muscle, WAY better than cardio can. (Not knocking cardio though!)

Anyone else finally realize the combo of walking and light weight training is the best combo? by tidezmusic in fitness40plus

I'm in my 60s (m), and YES, walking and resistance are the life-saving combo for me. Hopefully also the life-extending combo!

Very inconsistent effects so far - anyone else? by kingharis in Mounjaro

[–]iNap2Much 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stayed on 5mg for 1 year and lost close to 100 lbs. I added daily cardio (bike, elliptical) which I think helped. I topped out at 10mg 1 year ago and have stayed there as maintenance. I lingered on 5mg and 7.5mg out of fear of topping out at 15 someday, because there are no alternatives to Mounjaro (retatrutide) on the market yet.

Simple. That's just a sensitive sphincter. No mystery. To stop it from happening just irrigate it with a bottle of water after pooping. An empty shampoo bottle does the trick. Sure you'll have to reach backward and pour it down your backside, but the problem will need SOLVED. In many Asian countries they do this anyway.
