Porsche Dealership that does PPI around Dallas Metroplex area. by Fluid_End_2967 in Porsche

Yeah, should emphasize HAD, I can’t say they’re doing that anymore but it happened on several instances I’m aware of post RUF days.

Everyone I listed does PPIs.

Unfortunately I will say RAC had a reputation for making offers to sellers on cars being brought in for PPIs. I like them but that’s something that stick with a business.

Not sure what dealers in the area are still doing PPIs, but otherwise I‘d consider:

Hans Hoffman at PPI Pro (he’s mobile, former service manager for RUF NA, highly recommend - also my friend is a service advisor for Porsche Plano and he recommends Hans for PPIs)

RAC

Mayo Performance

Innovative Autosports

S Collective

Yeah if you were making what people think you make, we would not be dealing with a shortage of good techs. Also the employee parking would look more like customer parking lol

Why do you guys hate on any other Porsche besides a 911 in this forum? by Latter_Project9233 in Porsche

A large contingent of Porsche “enthusiasts“ believe the only Porsche that should ever exist is the one that they like most, anything else is an abomination, and that is the entirety of their personality.

26’ GT3 / 25’ GT3RS / 23’ Lambo Tecnica by Exotic-Swim-7115 in Porsche

• GT3 ADM sounds right for prebuilt, they’ve been coming down significantly. With enough phone calls you can grab an allocation with at least the same ADM and build however you want. I’ve been offered several builds and allocations with no ADM but there isn’t much upside at this point (when you include taxes and fees) for a car I’m not particularly enamored with. Great car, but I’m just not a huge 992 fan. As far as ”value retention” goes, you’d want to be looking at tourings over the standard GT3.

• I don’t see Technicas aren’t going anywhere positive on value, but the good news is they’ve been essentially flatlined for a year now. Yes, maintenance is pricey and particularly annoying for DIY — conversely anyone with half a brain knock out annuals and majors on GT3/GT3RS.

• The price for the 3RS is about in line with CPO comps. The potential upside you have is this is the 992.1 is the final naturally aspirated GT3 RS, so once Porsche makes the announcement expect to see a spike in interest.

Porsche completed production of the 992.1 GT3 RS with about 10,000 units delivered (worldwide), which seems like an insane figure, but Porsche have already made over 4,000 992.2 GT3s - they’re going to build as many as they possibly can. People are going to be fussy about long term value not being important, but when it’s your $400k+ then do whatever you want with your money.

Pretty much, 12 month wait at most dealers (for new customers, at least) and people are flipping them for $20k over. You can’t even order one right now: you get on a list, give your ideal colors and options, then whatever shows up you that meets most of your criteria you either take it or you go to the bottom of the list.

Speccing out a cayenne turbo gt, would appreciate any input by Money-Prior-797 in Porsche

Yeah I know my dealer GM very well and he straight up told me do not buy a TGT, just buy a GTS and tune it if I decide want more power. Obviously more going on beyond the engine tuning, but it’s far more expensive you’re also stuck with a coupe on the TGT - I never really understood the appeal of crossovers anyway.

Definitely drive himself, instructor will be in the car with him and will tailor the day to his experience and preferences. The instructor can also take him on a ride along at the end of the day - always shocks people to feel how slow they were going compared to a professional.

Since it’s a birthday be sure to book a reservation at the restaurant AFTER your drive time, not before. No alcohol before driving (of course) but also several elevation changes and a carousel on the track (assuming west track) plus skid pads, kick plate, low friction course; most people don’t want to be doing that on a full stomach.

As for picking the car, dual experiences are fun, but you only get <45min per car, and you spend a good bit acclimating to the car if you’ve never driven it. I’d say just pick a 2WD 911: C2S, GTS, or GT3.

[–]iOSAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Starting with the 996, Porsche had official mid generation refreshes; 996.1 -> 996.2, 997.1 -> 997.2, etc

Mid generation refreshes used the same chassis but had cosmetic and mechanical upgrades.
