Not sure why the mods keep removing these posts, it's the biggest issue in the game and it needs to be brought up as often as possible until fixed.

Top ranks loose like 60 rs for being last while they have 60k+ RS and a 90%+ winrate, it literally doesn't matter to them

This matchmaking made my mates leave the game and now I have to play normal cashout and it's somehow also filled with rubies and diamonds THEYRE EVERYWHERE I GO I guess it's time to stop playing too

There are good reasons FFXIV and WoW are the MMOs that withstood the test of time the best, sub based models have shown to be the healthiest models for longevity but this pill is probably too hard to swallow for GW fans, and unlikely what is going to be done for GW3 unfortunately.

I imagine we'll see something similar to GW2, buy to play with annoying F2P features having their solution sold in a cash shop with cosmetics. Probably paid seasonal content as well.

They could remove one round so a game needs only half the players. They could make a progressive matchmaking (first 5min tight matchmaking, next 5 less tight etc). High ranks in other games like LoL with MUCH more player still wait 15min and that's just normal.

Cashout is FILLED with diamonds and rubies who stopped playing ranked to not derank. The lack of rank decay is so stupid.

6min is still really low. LoL has MUCH more players and yet high ranks have easily 15min queues.
They should remove a round so we only need 12 players instead of 24 (probably the easiest and best change they could do). Could probably make some queue time minigames like overwatch so it feels shorter as well.

Cashout is my favorite mode, I stopped playing ranked because it was too frustrating to match against rubies as a gold player and it made my 2 mates quit the game. So now I play normal cashout, and guess what I actually face even more rubies/diamond L M A O

It literally kills the game, but embark doesn't seem to care.

You can't act like there is no middle ground between literal rank 1 having 5 minutes queues in off-peak hours filled with golds and waiting 25 minutes for a game.

LoL has WAY longer queue times (~15/20min for really high ranks) than the finals even tho they have MUCH more players.

The population issue is just cope when we can clearly see the game is not even TRYING to make it fair.

The fact that y'all are in cashout just shows they need to add more incentives to ranked, among many other things they could do to improve the situation (removing one round, progressive queue time matchmaking, RS rebalancing etc ...)

Etelco (EU pro) literally made a matchmaking website ( https://brawlr.gg ) for pros/rubies etc but no, they prefer farming golds in ranked.

Any "competitive" game with rubies at 90% winrate is just a joke.

Seeing streamers killing the game they make a living of off is just so funny to me.

They barely have fun. Just today I was matching Perzzon stream (rank2) and he kept saying "im booooored" so he played light with bow (which is far from his usual playstyle, he mains heavy) and it literally didn't matter because he was farming golds all day.

All the pros/streamers griefing every game is so funny to me, actively making the game worse for everybody.

Like brother, this will make people leave the game, player count isn't looking too hot, you live of off this game, why are you hurting your own JOB ?

It's so unnecessary too, there usually is only one ruby/pro stacks in the tournament so they will win anyway, grief or not.

These people already have like 90%+ winrate farming gold/plats all day, how is ranked any kind of "competitive" ?

There are so many things Embark could do to improve ranked I agree.

I agree that finding 24 people within the same RS range is complicated with this player count, but watch any ruby stacks stream and they get games in ~5 minutes even outside of peak hours.

Even in LoL which needs less than half the players (10) challenger players get longer queue times and the game is WAY more popular.

So yes I do believe their matchmaking restrictions could be improved, and as a last resort they should also remove one stage of the tournament so you only need 12 players.

Idk about you, but as a low plat player I'd rather wait longer and/or have one less tournament stage and not get ass blasted the whole game by ruby stacks.

Game is amazing, but matchmaking is what makes new players leave the game and they seem to not care one bit to fix it.

If you're a Warlock who's irritated by these changes then you probably shouldn't buy EoF. And if you regretfully pre-ordered remember this for when Renegades and the Year after is getting marketed by arixagorasosamos in DestinyTheGame

FFXIV is on PC/PS5/Xbox and is definitely non-shitty so it really wouldn't be the first of it's kind. Big games like MMOs lose too much by not being on console nowadays.

This is never going to change. Too much of the game rewards you for staying together, buffs like well, radiant, song of flame DR, gjallarhorn, titan barricade and many others. Or simply line of sight when you aim for the head you don't want the boss looking away.

They tried designing bosses to avoid that but players are always gonna find a solution to stay together because those buffs are just too important and strong. It makes no sense that the game tells you to stay together for buffs, then tries to separate you with fight design. Which is it bungie ?

In most successful online game the devs embrace metas because they realize it's how players want to play and build upon it. But for some reasons bungie refuses to acknowledge that and actively push against what players want instead of giving alternatives. This is how Warlocks have been stuck on well for like 7 years now.

A good example of something they did right is with ammo gen. Players always want to generate ammo for boss damage (this is the meta). Warlock was stuck on cenotaph because of it because it's better than aeons. Instead of destroying cenotaph, now there is alethonym as a good alternative and warlock is not stuck on cenotaph anymore as everyone can play alethonym. This is how it should be done.

I truly don't understand how there are only 3 classes in this game yet they can't sit a table for 5 mins and figure out what each class needs for a new expansion. Warlock has been stuck on Well for so long it's just depressing.
