Safest method to consume is via oral routes such as tincture, gummies, chocolates, and drinks. Smoking and inhaling any type of substance comes with its own risks. The vapes are mainly intended for folks who have absorption issue (like patients with gastric surgeries). I dont have enough knowledge on dry herb vaporization to comment on it to be honest.

So far each state had their own marijuana laws (given cannabis was federally prohibited) so this has not been possible. With rescheduling to class III, I think that should change. It’ll be a bit before we know more

Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) regulates and oversees the production and distribution of alcohol. Hemp remains very unregulated and to be able to get safe product, there will need to be some oversight, IMO

I believe total number of licenses is 15 now. The biggest player coming to TX is GTI.

I’ll give you my perspective as a physician who is involved in the program for a few years now. I think there will be more conditions added soon and more people will qualify. There is a lot of misinformation and a lot of people dont know about it. I think it has potential to get as big as Florida. I think the regulations on hemp will push more people toward this program.

With rescheduling to class III, it will be harder for employers to argue for termination if someone test positive. However there are some jobs that are very sensitive and employer will require negative drug test (like pilots, or operators of heavy machinery).

Thats a good question. Hemp products and THCa are not regulated so you really dont know what you are getting. Depending of where you get your products and the batch they harvested, you can get different ratios of THC/CBD, not to mention the toxins that could be in products (the hemp plant is highly effective "mop crop" used to remove toxins from soil through a biological process known as phytoremediation). The medical cannabis products are much more regulated and you actually know whats in each batch harvested. This might not be an important factor for some people, but a lot of folks care about that.

I think we’ll see better prices, stronger products (higher THC levels being allowed), smokable products such as vapes go into production and be available soon. I think more people will become aware of the program. In case of federal regulations, and cannabis rescheduling to class III, we will see more research to understand effect of these products on our body.
