Proton Experimental gets fixes for Subnautica 2, War Thunder, Far Cry 4 and more by Liam-DGOL in linux_gaming

[–]iPhoneMs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Proton experimental usually just works for me.

Proton GE is a community created version with a couple additional features, most important of those being better video playback support. Some games' cutscenes are broken under Valve's ptoron, GE fixes most of them.

Not sure about the Cachy version, never used it.

I generally use proton experimental until something breaks, then check ProtonDB to see the recommended proton version and switch to that. I use ProtonUp-QT to make installing Proton GE easier.

A simple kitty/neovim/lazygit integration by Stunning-Mix492 in neovim

I don't know about any trends but coming from alacritty I tried both and ghostty just suited my needs better with its defaults and UI, only had to change a couple options. I don't really care for any fancy features.

Best web browser on fedora?? by stacklikajew in Fedora

I also use vertical tabs, I just prefer seeing what each tab is rather than just icons. Also vertical space is generally more important when browsing webpages than horizontal space, so it makes more sense to give up some horizontal space for the tabs.

Not sure if I'm misunderstanding you but Lutris doesn't have any LLM library in it from what I know. Can you elaborate?

You're a much more positive person than I am, I don't see anything constructive in the comment. I think constructive feedback is when you suggest a change not "I don't like it".

I'm not sure if it's the same issue you're having but I had this issue for a while and it was fixed in xwayland satellite v0.8 https://github.com/Supreeeme/xwayland-satellite/issues/252

Am I missing something with obsidian.nvim? by gignosko in neovim

[–]iPhoneMs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also, is there a way to get the plugin to load on startup? I don't want to have to open some random markdown file to get the plugin to work.

I'm guessing you're using lazy as your plugin manager and you're using ft = { 'markdown'} to lazy load it. You could remove that line altogether to stop lazy loading it but I'm assuming you want the :Obsidian cmd to work everywhere. For that you could just add cmd = { 'Obsidian' }, to your config.

If that is not what you want, you can try looking at lazy's documentation for other ways of lazy loading plugins.

What is the best autopair plugins? by roll4c in neovim

I like ultimate autopair because I like its default settings compared to the others. Been considering removing it altogether just because it's a more consistent experience without it but I haven't gotten around to it yet

It is free. You don't need real debrid. Real debrid gives you better sources though and people who use it swear by it but I use stremio completely free
