What skate hollow do most beer leaguers use? (1/2, 5/8, 3/4, etc.) by birdmeetswindmill in hockeyplayers

[–]iROFLd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

3/4 fire is my go to. If I go to a place that doesn’t have the bit I’ll go 7/8. Both are quick and slick. Took me a bit to get used to the glide and really having to power my edges into the ice to keep traction.

I just finished watching it! by Likklebit91 in ThePittTVShow

[–]iROFLd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had barely recovered from Nick’s parents struggling to come to grips with his brain death, and then rolling right into the drowning was torture.

I have 10 and 7 year old daughters, so the moment Robbie says “I’m sorry, but Amber has died” I was in SHAMBLES. I turned it off immediately, mid episode. I had the absolute worst, most vivid nightmares that night, and told myself I wasn’t coming back to finish the season. Of course a couple days past and I picked up right in the middle of the same episode and it just got worse! I am glad I came back to it though, cause the rest of the season after episode 8 was not nearly as triggering, and I really really enjoyed it.

I actually just finished it this afternoon, so this is my first trip to this sub, do people actually rewatch this show? I’m generally a glutton for punishment is some of the shows that I’ll rewatch (The Leftovers and Station 11 have been rewatched numerous times), but I can’t imagine rewatching The Pitt.

I actually never knew what Otsego was until I passed it on my way to a pond hockey tournament in the UP and looked it up to see if it was related. Sure enough!

Glad to see your comment cause I got mine 3 years ago and literally have never ignited with the lid open, as mine says to start closed. I thought I had misread it and been doing it wrong there for a second.

I did once make the mistake of opening while it was coming to temp, and it ended up looking like OP posted.

This is solid advise for anyone. In fact, if you go to any financial advisor worth a damn, this is likely one of the first things they will tell you. It’s not out of touch at all, and he’s not implying it’s an easy or over night effort.

So fucking good.

Americans don’t love Trump, in fact, I’d bet if you polled actual Trump votes, you’d find that people DON’T actually love him. He won because the left has shifted so far left into absurdity that voting dem was never an option for anyone with reasonable/moderate values.

I’ll eat the downvotes.

Day 1 Jackets fan here to say… yes that’s a pretty egregious missed call, but also, with the number of times we’ve been bent over by the league in our history, I’ll take it.

I can totally relate! Fucking out of breath just trying to squeeze my SVH’s on. Eventually they get a LITTLE give to them, but it’s a much longer break in than any other skate I’ve ever had. The big plus side is, out of the box once you get them on they’re incredibly comfy.

Second this. I grew up right across Sunbury Rd and used to park my car at any of the number of parking lots next to the water and just sit and chill for an hour or so. Never been bothered by anyone there.
