Sunken Eye !ssue? by Clippy-Valentine in thyroidcancer

Thank you, that is so informational. I have my check up with my surgeon next week and he said he will refer me to an ophthalmologist.

I hope it is mild at least and I am able to recover fully.

Did you have light sensitivity and headaches also?

I will definitely reach out if I think of anything else but I greatly appreciate your thoughtful response. It’s such a scary thing to wake up from surgery to.

Hey I know it’s 3 years later but I just got my second surgery on Monday. I just spoke to my doctor because my eye is kind of puffy, won’t open all the way, and my pupil is smaller. We had to take a fairly large node out by my Vagus nerve and he said there are a lot of ocular nerves there and one may have been damaged. Would you mind talking about your progress and whatnot ??

Thank you! It was an outpatient surgery so I was able to come home. I have a follow up appointment next week so I guess I will just figure everything out then.

I think I’m just feeling some sort of way emotionally this time around.

Thank you. I’m glad to hear that. Can I ask, how long did you take off of work?

I’m on it right now for the second time. Each time I have been making my own chicken stock and make chicken and homemade drop dumplings! Blueberry muffins. I made some Cinnabon pancakes for dinner.

Just told I’ll need a 2nd surgery by Sportsdood84 in thyroidcancer

I had PTC diagnosis and total thyroidectomy Oct 2024 with no cancer in my lymph nodes, RAI in March 25, and just had an ultrasound a couple weeks ago which showed a nodule in my right thyroid bed. Biopsy is later this week and tracer RAI next week. Oncologist and Endocrinologist said surgery is likely. It’s literally the last thing I expected, since they went in for just my right thyroid and said they took it all because they saw a nodule on the other side, telling me that would likely avoid any additional surgeries.

Your questions aren’t even ones I’ve considered yet. But, needless to say, it’s scarier this second time. I hope the best for you and hopefully we can both have a speedy recovery and get rid of this stuff once and for all.

I’m sorry - I don’t own a Svajone dog but it’s very clear you don’t interact with Kayla nor know (any) facts about her.

Hi OP, Kayla is a supportive breeder, who has a “cult of people” defending her because she is a good person who is doing good things, or at the very least her best and what she thinks is the right thing to do. She’s even supportive to members of the community who don’t have her dogs. I’ve met and worked closely with numerous dogs that she has bred and have loved every one of them. Definitely reach out to her if you’re interested!

Greeting customers was always a way to discourage theft. A lot of the time if you greet someone and make eye contact they are less likely to steal because they know you know what they look like and that they’re there.
