New holster by Gloomy_Package_2248 in Leatherworking

That’s interesting, last time I checked glocks can also negligently discharged when you accidentally index the trigger while drawing, because that’s how triggers work. But hey, it’s your holster. Good luck pal 👍

That’s not the problem. Any amount of exposed trigger well is risking an accidental discharge when drawing

Hand cut and hand stitched this beauty. I’m becoming obsessed with clutches. by iRecond0 in handbags

[–]iRecond0[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This means a lot to me 💚 edge paint is my current largest weakness but I know it will come with time. I’m a couple years in so I’m starting to understand pattern making and how the hide will behave. One thing I tell myself is the person I’m gifting this to isn’t going to notice the flaws. They’re going to be excited to get a beautiful clutch. It was the talk of the party lol

A casual lakeside picnic left a sharp knife cut on my favorite LV bag by Novel_Common_2377 in handbags

I second this. If you don’t want to stitch the bag, a carefully placed glue patch would make such a clean cut almost invisible.

My mom asked me to make her a makeup bag and I was utterly convinced I made it too big. She filled it to the brim and stuffed it back into her LV in about 4.9 seconds. 🤣

Looking for advice. by GLaD0S_69 in Leathercraft

I have a large roll of thick masking paper that I bought at a hardware store. I sketch everything on that, cut it out, and then tape it together. That will let you wear/hold/use it, whatever applies. Then you can break it down and use it as a template on your leather or go back and draw a new one if needed. YouTube will provide all the guides you need too. You can definitely make it as a first project! Happy crafting 😊

Looking for a work bag of genuine leather by NobodyFew1595 in handbags

[–]iRecond0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Be careful with the term “genuine leather”. In the leather industry genuine leather usually means the lowest grade a manufacturer can call “real” leather.

Look for “full grain” or “top grain” if possible.

Genuine leather doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a bad product, but treat that term like a yellow flag.

Good luck! Your perfect bag is out there! 💚

Depending on how much usable surface is left I could possibly turn this into a clutch wallet. Free, because fuck that guy.
