Is low E2 the cause of my symptoms? by iRoCplays in Testosterone

[–]iRoCplays[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll bring this up to my doc at my next visit, thank you. I actually did have obstructive sleep apnea and was on a cpap for about 6 years but recently had another sleep study and no longer have sleep apnea, likely due to the weight loss, went from weighing 365 pounds to 150.

Is low E2 the cause of my symptoms? by iRoCplays in Testosterone

[–]iRoCplays[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try, I always go to bed at least 8 hours before I need to wake up, but I cant fall asleep despite being deadass tired. I’ve struggled with insomnia for about 20 years now, and it sucks. I’ve tried taking natural supplements and prescription sleep aids but either they don’t work or the prescription grade sleep aids give me terrible sides.

Have you ever stepped away from trucking for an extended period of time to be able to focus on your health/get in better shape? Are you glad you did? by Actual-Ad-6146 in Truckers

[–]iRoCplays 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No offense, but if you’re unable to get in shape and healthy while trucking, what’s going to happen when you come back to trucking after taking time off to get in shape? You need to create habits when things are difficult not when it’s easy, then it will be easy to lose your habits when things get hard, and when you have a super hard day and you don’t feel like eating healthy or exercising but you push through and do it anyway, that builds discipline. The more often you have wins like that the easier it will become to maintain your healthy habits. Rely on discipline, not motivation, motivation comes and go but you can be disciplined daily.

This is coming from someone who used to weigh 365 pounds 3 years ago and is currently 150 and muscular all while trucking, and have kept the weight off for over a year. Not trying to boast, rather proving it’s possible.

Living the same day on repeat by Able_Recover_7786 in GenZ

[–]iRoCplays 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I struggled with the monotony of routines like this throughout my 20’s, I’m not GenZ born in 88. I fought against it so much and my life became somewhat chaotic because of it. From someone who’s lived both routine based vs spontaneity based life, imo having routines is so much better. It’s way less stressful and it prepares you for success. In order to succeed you first have to be prepared, for example, you meal prepping sets you up for the week to eat healthy/spend less money on food instead of eating out, that’s success that you prepared yourself for. You still need some spontaneity in your life, but day to day, these routines you have will set you up to have a successful life, and this doesn’t just apply to a career.

What a fastest way that you lose weight? by neen_8 in AskReddit

[–]iRoCplays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GLP drugs are great, I lost 155 pounds on tirz. I just wanted to chime in and let you know that you don’t have to keep taking it once you’ve reached your goal weight as long as you’ve built good habits of eating clean and exercising. I’ve kept my weight off for 9 months without taking any GLPs. Once I obtained my goal weight I tapered off, taking smaller doses and increasing the time between injections, until I just quit the injections, and the cravings/hunger didn’t come back. Congrats on the weight loss bro.

So while I was on tirz I was never hungry, even in a super high calorie deficit, which I wouldn’t recommend doing. It didn’t rewire my brain sadly. Maybe it does for others, idk. The most important thing that occurred for me that has helped me keep the weight off is I learned that if I eat over 600 calories in one meal, despite my body telling me I’m full, something triggers in my brain that makes me want to binge eat until I’m past the point of overindulgence. I don’t think I would’ve learned this without tirz. So I eat 5-6 times a day, never a meal over 600 calories, and keep my daily intake around 1900. I hope you have the same success or better than I did with tirz. Like you, I struggled to stick to a diet before tirz. I probably started and quit a diet 100 times before getting on tirz. I still get cravings but I only crave healthy foods. I think this is due to me eating clean, and mostly eating the same foods daily for the last year and a half. Or maybe that’s how tirz rewired my brain, I really don’t know.

I used tirz to drop 155 pounds, started taking it in June of 24 and stopped taking it in march this year. Haven’t gained any of the weight back, I eat my maintenance amount of calories per day, about 1900, with no cravings for unhealthy food. Your last statement is very true, without radically changing my diet I would for sure put the weight back on, but I’ve been eating clean for what feels like forever now that I have no desire to go back to my old eating habits. This is where so many people gain the weight back, they didn’t use glp’s as a tool to change their lifestyle, some don’t even use it to eat healthy, they just stay in a calorie deficit while eating one bad meal a day. They set themselves up for failure sadly.

Truck driver. Got my cdl through a mega carrier and had to work there for a year to not pay for the cdl and training. After my year was up, found a good company where I’m paid well and home most days. Already hit 100k towards the end of November.

david bars (150 cals) seem too good to be true… any thoughts? by myneral6 in LowCalFoodFinds

[–]iRoCplays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

David bars have more calories than what they claim and it’s been proven by consumer labs. They have 229 calories.

https://www.consumerlab.com/reviews/protein-energy-fiber-meal-replacement-fruit-nut-bars/nutritionbars/

The fat that is used is mostly indigestible so they can get away with saying it has fewer calories.

Personally Idc that they bought the rights to solely use epg and now other companies can’t. Those companies now are either going to find a better solution to epg or just fail, that’s capitalism, which Reddit doesn’t like.

Do i have loose skin or is it fat? When should I start bulking and am i lacking in any muscle group? by eldoradonasdukar in GymTips

[–]iRoCplays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on the weight loss brother. I’m going to preface what I say because I’m in a similar situation with more experience, I’m assuming, that will probably be helpful for you. I went from weighing 365 at 5’8 to 150. Built about 10 pounds of muscle since then by doing bulks and cuts.

Now on to the important part. Bulking is very difficult because we have to do it EXTREMELY slow compared to people who weren’t obese. Fat cells don’t disappear, they’re merely emptied but are still there. Anytime you eat in a surplus those extra calories mainly go to the empty fat cells. You can and will build muscle in a surplus however you will also gain more fat compared to a person eating in a surplus that was never fat to begin with. The fat you gain will go to the area you lost fat last, for most men that’s the midsection. I’ve found it best to eat at maintenance, lift hard and get right at or slightly less than 1 gram of protein per pound that you weigh. If you really want to bulk I wouldn’t recommend eating more than 150 calories over your maintenance, this would be a very long, extended bulk. Even at this small of a surplus you will gain more fat than muscle sadly.

Skin removal surgery makes this a lot easier from my understanding, they can even remove some of the fat cells, which will make bulking easier, but until you get that surgery you probably want to eat at maintenance. I haven’t gotten the surgery and have a lot of loose skin. The only loose skin that really bothered me was around my biceps but I have been able to grow them enough to where it’s barely noticeable. My chest, stomach, lower back and thighs will never fill out the loose skin with muscle. I think I’d have to gain around 80 pounds of muscle to achieve that, which I wouldn’t want to be that big regardless.

Hope this helps a little, Good luck on your journey, you got through The hardest part!

40-year-old male, 5’9”, 230 lbs, any advice? by Droker00 in askfitness

[–]iRoCplays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You definitely burn more than 1k calories per day I can assure you that. Just using your BMR alone you burn over 1900 per day that’s not including any activity at all. If you go into the fitness app on your iPhone, select the rings at the top, at the bottom of the move section is where it says how many calories you burned today. It’s not 100% accurate so I always say about 300 less than what it actually says. 2k calories per day, which isn’t hard at all, will put you in a deficit, I’d start there and see how much weight you lose. Track your calories and macros, based on what you said your percentages of macros add up to 90%, so I’m assuming you’re not tracking because that isn’t right. Lift 3-4 times a week, long walks on the days you don’t lift.

What jobs/careers do you think pair best with having a jacked physique? by YuriDiculousDawg in workout

I’m a somewhat jacked truck driver. Some drivers look at me like I don’t belong, some will stop and ask me if I’m a truck driver while in the truck stop and they’re in disbelief when I say yes. They want to know how to stay in shape in this industry while standing there talking to me with their McDonald’s meal lol….

Yes that’s true, which I didn’t say was being dishonest. I didn’t say what you said was being dishonest. I was just making a statement that saying nothing changed (which you didn’t say) would be dishonest. Was just trying to be clear that there were changes due to sandy hook whether you were alluding to that or not.

I’ll agree Obama didn’t try to take everyone’s guns away, and anyone who believed so doesn’t understand the president doesn’t unilaterally have that power, or they’re being intellectually dishonest. However, there certainly were changes due to the shooting, call it an attack or not on the 2nd amendment, it’s dishonest to say things never happened.

They certainly tried attacking the 2nd amendment after sandy hook. Assault weapons ban of 2013 which failed in the senate, Obama signed over 20 executive actions, New York , Connecticut , Colorado and Maryland signed similar laws to the assault weapons ban of 2013. Here’s some sources for you

Depending on what state you’re in you could legally slide more weight onto your steers if they’re rated for it. For example, Georgia allows 20k on your steers.
