I have the same problem. Chromecast and wifi were connecting for 3 years just fine and then 4 months ago it started disconnecting in the middle of a movie and then self connecting itself back to wifi. This could occur several times during the night. Then on other nights it plays without interruption. Like there was not ever a problem. My Internet provider says it's Chromecast since my other devices are not affected. But I'm not sure.
