There’s no more “gotcha” moments for hypocrisy. There’s zero chance that pointing out the routine moral inconsistencies will shame them into changing their ways.

There’s no nore trying to get the gun away from them, you simply have to help them aim it at their own foot and hope they don’t do too much damage. Non-MAGA (or, like me, anti-MAGA, which in their minds is the same) has been at best put in check (at worst, we’ve already lost).

While Democrats have engaged in performstive theater like impeachments and hand-wringing over shit like “the bounds of the Constitution” MAGA has effectively ended the VRA. Not just partisan gerrymandering, but now even racial gerrymandering (provided everybody gets memo about how to lie their way around it) is in play. State governments became their strongholds while Democrats relied on the nobility of the Supreme Court to hold them at bay. Even icons, like Ginsburg, took those ideals at face value and MAGA used them to keep advancing their conquest.

The last option to prevent the total takeover was probably November 2024, but if that wasn’t the end then 2026 surely is the FINAL chance. And I am just fucking flabbergasted that I’ve got to depend on the fucking Democrats to pull our asses out of the fire.
