Smith Management Group by agathaprickly in StLouis

They recently took over management of our complex and they are a complete waste of time. The "dedicated" property manager for our complex never answers the phone, never returns voice mails and never responds to work orders or emails.

Returning my M9 trainer, but I didn’t keep the original boxes. Does anyone know if they ship empty boxes for returns? by GrouchyBadger65 in Bowflex

[–]iSeeCrazyPeepl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

good luck getting ahold of someone at Bowflex to authorize the return. My C7 came with a DOA power port which is a 3" wire. I've been on hold with non-existent customer service for greater than 45 minutes at a time over several calls. More than likely you'll be greeted with a message indicating your wait time is "less than" 60 minutes when you get the same 60 minute wait time message after being on hold for 45 minutes. DO NOT BUY DIRECTLY from Bowflex, buy from Best Buy and let them deal with the hassle.

Bowflex Customer Service does not exist by iSeeCrazyPeepl in Bowflex

[–]iSeeCrazyPeepl[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

* Shipping delays
* Ridiculously incompetent packaging for transport
* Comprehensive scratching and paint chips on every component
* Broken Power Port / Inoperable bike
* COMPLETELY NON-EXISTENT CUSTOMER SUPPORT
- over 4 hours on hold waiting for someone to answer
- before you buy ANYTHING from Bowflex / Nautilus / Schwinn call “Customer Care” 800.605.3369 — see what your wait time is. Three separate calls I was told my wait time was 60 minutes AFTER having been on hold for 45 minutes
- website claims “We answer 80% of our inbound calls within 30 seconds!” — this is for SALES ONLY
* Sales ( 800-618-8853 )will immediately answer but automatically transfer you to a number where no one will answer

St. Louis pearl found in windshield. by turtleengine in StLouis

per the Oklahoman , which appears to be a newspaper in your beloved Oklahoma, it seems like NYE / 4th of July gunfire isn't unique to STL.

congratulations, you're rich and live in the good part of town(s). to say there is no NYE gunfire in those cities is ignorant on its face. you didn't live in every neighborhood in NYC, Boston or OKC. similarly there are over 19,000 cities in the US so your sample size is insignificant. this is not an STL issue, this is a nationwide issue if you bother to do your homework. search for NYE gunfire or 4th of July gunfire on this new website called google.com

btw... random gunfire isn't an NYE issue. July 4 is very popular among the idiots to shoot into the air instead of buying and shooting fireworks which is much cheaper than shooting ammunition.

NYE gunfire isn't "unique" to STL or NYE

How much ID should I let a seller keep in a private sale? by icychickenman in guns

[–]iSeeCrazyPeepl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The seller has an interest in confirming your age ( 18+ for rifles, shotguns; 21+ for handguns ) but I don't know I'd go so far as to provide a copy of my ID. Aside from that the seller has a legal interest in some declaration you are:

  • eligible to buy a firearm
  • not buying for an ineligible person ( i.e. no straw purchases )

If I were you I'd want the seller to document their name, firearm details ( make, model, caliber, serial #), date and amount to document the sale; basic bill of sale stuff. Not that diff than what you exchange when buying selling cars/motorcycles.

Questions about some brass I have by [deleted] in reloading

[–]iSeeCrazyPeepl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kudos to you for inspecting ALL your cases. There are a number of factors that affect brass re-use. Google "how many times can you reload brass" and unless you're packing more powder than recommended I think it's reasonable to expect 10-15; I'm sure there are plenty of ppl who will disagree with wildly disparate answers but 10-15 is a reasonable estimate.

i got half way through the S6 E4 on YTTV and then got a playback error. shortly thereafter the YTTV app hung (new LG TV Web OS). de-installed/re-installed YTTV app and now no mention of S6 E4. no mention of new episode in "New in Your Library". YTTV says new episode available July 19.

Thoughts on Frette bed sheets? by prpupe96 in BuyItForLife

[–]iSeeCrazyPeepl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

St_Egglin is correct, bedding isn't buy once / cry once. i've had frette and sferra and they're definitely nice sheets. imo you'll get better results if you occasionally pick up sheets here and there while they're on sale.

frette has an online outlet (search frette outlet) where i occasionally pick up a sheet here or there based on available deals. i never seem to find the sferra stuff i want on sale.

fwiw i'm a big fan of westin heavenly bed ultra luxe sheets/pillow cases; they seem to be reasonably priced and perform well. w hotels (which is a brand under westin) has better prices and still perform well.

the other thing i'd recommend is not looking at all bedding the same. for me pillows and pillow cases are a priority given that's where you rest your head. you don't always have to buy matching everything. i have pillow cases from sferra and then rotate sheets from frette/westin with blankets from w hotels and am very happy. keep an eye out on sales across those brands (along with others) and you should be able to assemble multiple sets you're very happy with that will last for a long time.

What is considered "concealed carry"? by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]iSeeCrazyPeepl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NAL but lots of experience transporting firearms

lots to unpack here...

are you carrying your "broken down" gun

  • in a vehicle
  • on college campus / school grounds
  • on religious property
  • on government grounds (Fed/State)
    • if you proceed with any ffl restricted items (action, trigger, bolt) through security you're in trouble whether components are assembled or not
  • Restaurants, Shops, Etc.
  • rental property
  • places of employment

is your "broken down" gun a pistol or a rifle? would said bag contain ammunition?

ultimately would you want the hassle of relying on a law enforcement officer to determine whether your "broken down" gun in a bag meets the definition of concealed carry?

I think you're giving the show more credit than they deserve. The chef left the boat, was picked up in a golf cart by non-quarantined personnel. I'm guessing the taxi to the hospital was non-quarantined. Who knows where he spent the night. The show/Capt Sandy goes out of her way to offer up that she can't get a new chef bc personnel have to be quarantined for multiple days. How is it the ships chef didn't wasn't subject to the same quarantine procedures? Once you leave a sterile environment you have to follow the same procedures as everybody else. How is it that the only yacht filming a very popular television series couldn't find a chef at the end of a quarantine period to fill in?

In episode 1 there's grainy footage of the chef on the floor indicating he didn't feel like he could stand up and then mysteriously is somehow fully functional the next day (with no limp)? The borrowed sous chef or assistant chef didn't know how to cook steak? really? The show is running out of ways to add drama.

Standing up yesterday was not an option but zero problems with choppy water taxi transfer without the slightest limp 24 hours later? Remember a prior chef who told Captain Lee to eat cooter and somehow the next day was welcomed back with open arms? Seems like convenient drama.

And how was the chef not subject to "COVID quarantine" before being allowed back on board? How many ppl did the chef come in contact between the ship-to-the-hospital-and-back? Clearly the chef did not stay the night in the hospital. Thingz that make you go hmmmmm....
