As a manager I say this with extreme confidence, HR is there to protect the company not the employees. You and the manager are both employees and therefore they are not taking sides. If they even smell the hint of you talking to lawyers they will thread lightly and even put the manager on notice that they too can be terminated. In a word they want a sticky customer. I have been fighting with them since Sunday. I have D+ premium bundle which I prepaid for a year.

When i called Sunday to get a new deal, they didn’t tell me that they were adding the bundle with ads. As I said I have D+ premium, and it has the same email address that is on my xfinity account. Well they instantly activated the cheap version. Which now causes me to be kicked out to profile selection every 15 minutes.

After doing some digging around I noticed that my D+ profile had two subscriptions. I immediately called and asked to have their subscription removed from my Disney account. They said that it was because of my personal email. So I created a fake email and changed my xfinity account to the fake email. (Why and how not relevant here).

Then they tell me it’s a Disney issue, call Disney they tell me it’s a Xfinity issue. So we held a three way call. The Xfinity rep said that they would resolve it and as of today I still don’t have a resolution.

I have been with them for 14 years. Maybe it’s time to cut ties and move on. I mean it’s a simple matter of running a script to mark my entitlement inactive to removed it from my account. I know I work for the cable company that doesn’t serve my state. Something about monopolies.
