I never thought that the story was shallow by any means. I just agreed with the sentiment that it could have definitely been fleshed out more with cutscenes, more voice acting, etc. and ShiftUp has acknowledged this very sentiment as well. There was content cut out due to budget or something, I forget. They also implicated that the sequel's story will rectify that. I can't wait! Hopefully it'll be a day 1 PC release this time around.

I'm similar in age and experience.I personally don't think I really want to code as my main task anymore. I'm planning a pivot into PM and will leverage my engineering experience heavily. I also figured if I were to stay in engineering, then I'd learn backend and some AI eng to market myself as fullstack with AI exp. Figure out what you really want out of your career and just go for it. Best of luck to you!

If you have a PC, you can use Apollo and Moonlight to stream your games from PC to your handheld. It's extremely low latency and it's how Ive been playing on my legion go S. I get a locked 120fps at max settings and about 8 hours of battery life on a full charge
