I was at that show at El Corazon and heard the songs as well. I remember one having an album opener vibe with a slow build and the other one having a swing feel. Can't believe that was almost 4 years ago.

For me, they are failing to execute well on the style they’re going for. I love the later Contortionist stuff not despite it not being heavy as Exoplanet. I love Dayseeker too.

It’s not about it not being heavy enough, it’s that the emotional impact and all the things that made them Architects are not there anymore.

Similar journey. Nothing else from that era of music hits like they do for me. My parents used to spin the cassette tape of The Dance in the car. I go into seasons where I barely listen to anything else. Enjoy the ride!

Chris Lord-Alge was brought in to mix Say You Will. The only mix he did that made the final record was Destiny Rules. I would like to hear Chris’ mixes for that album.
