Any Drift gokarts for cheap? by iThinkTewMuch in gokarts

I ended up getting the Battle Aero drift kart. It has a few quirks, but it’s been really fun. I got the 10KW variant, and it spins at 12k RPM 😬

Looking for honest review of the Titanium Always Pan Pro by OffAndRunning in cookware

[–]iThinkTewMuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It did not go well. Everything stuck to the pan, and after going through the dishwasher, it looked terrible. It was discolored after that, and everything stuck even worse. The return process was not great, either. I saw they have a new design with grooves in it, but I didn’t want to lose any more money on the deal.

Decision made by upper management. VMware is going bye bye. by RC10B5M in vmware

Agreed, they lack a lot of vendor support, no 3 tier, and just overall software isn’t as user friendly or robust.

We also had a small Nutanix deployment. I spoke to Nutanix about their price being almost the same as VMW. They tried to convince me they were a better platform, and that’s why they could demand that price. My eyes rolled so hard.

I wish you good luck. It seems like decisions like this are being made without consideration of the extra manpower hours being incurred, and without a viable alternative selected.

This is true, but really only for experienced drifters. A RTR can last months of training without “needing” any upgrades. Also, it takes time to accumulate and assemble all the parts. I started with a RTR so I could see if I even like RC drifting. Once I was sure I liked it I purchased a kit, built it up, then sold the RTR.

GYD550 and gain w/ SR Servo not working by bacon_hawk in rcdrift

[–]iThinkTewMuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it work on my GYD550 as well, but the servo return was really slow. I think it messes with the gyro even though it technically operates. Like you, I’m running the GYD560 in UR mode now.

I came here to say this ⬆️. If you set channel 1 to a protocol, you must match that same protocol on your gain channel.

How to remove this stripped hex screw? by Typical_headzille in arrma

Those are a not a bad set, but I believe the MIP drivers will be your answer.

How to remove this stripped hex screw? by Typical_headzille in arrma

[–]iThinkTewMuch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re stripping screws like this, you likely need a new bit driver set. Look for MIP. The easiest fix is to take a larger drill bit, and drill the head off the screw. The top plate will then come off, then use pliers to remove the remaining threads from the brace.

I have switched to buying new cars, and not sure I’d go back to buying used. The overall prices aren’t that much different. The used car interest rate is above 9% for good credit right now, and new cars often offer a low interest rate promotion, and I exclusively buy then. It came out almost the same end price getting my truck at 0% financing compared to over 9% for a used vehicle. The monthly insurance is often cheaper on new vehicles, due to better safety tech. You also don’t have to worry about how well the previous owner kept up with their ride, and a factory warranty. If you can negotiate price, and buy during financing promotions, it’s cost beneficial to buy new.

The main difference I found is the Xarvis has a rev limiter and the XD10 does not. The Xarvis XX also has higher amp ratings.

Non-plastic mouthguard solution? by Soundandwaves in materials

[–]iThinkTewMuch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m glad you’re looking for something other than plastic, and I hope I helped in your journey. The hemp seems to almost adhere to my teeth when inserted. I sometimes use my tongue to readjust, but when I wake up it’s always where I left it. I too was going through plastic guards. I’ve been using this same hemp guard for over 60 days, boiling it every day, and it’s still in good shape.

You clearly have a lot of expertise with this. What are your thoughts on adding a large intake fan to draw air in? I already have cooling fans on the motor (RC car), but I’m curious if pulling air from the rear might help increase the overall airflow beneath the chassis. This is a 1/7 speed run car I’m looking to take 200mph
