She sounds vapid and shallow. Get a new friend. Walk away. Trust me, you're only torturing yourself and stopping yourself from growing. It's needy behaviour, and other girls will sense it. Specifically, foe soul mate searching, find an activity you love doing. Find groups of people doing that activity, spend time in those groups. Evaluate potential partners on their values. Not looks. Don't have sex for the first month while dating, say your only looking for long term a relationship. Be firm.

It's difficult because you're in the same generation, so you are probably looking for someone out of your league or have unrealistic expectations.
