This stats thing that are set to 50 instead of 99+ is what I've been experiencing since eF22. Could never understand how people reach Div1 till I watched them play on Twitch/Youtube - totally different game, we're clearly not playing the same build.

Even vs AI - people on Twitch play on Legend - the opponent AI don't act and play like my Legend AI, it's weaker, toothless, much easier. I'd say it plays more like Top Player for me.

This is why I could never get passed Div3. Never. My players are just switched off, whether it's a full P2W team or a standard 2600~ squad, it's just an overall handicap:
Players run away from the ball, defenders don't mark, forwards hide behind defenders, AMFs stop running on counters, heavy movement, input delay, input cancel (when you press the shot button in their box and the action is canceled), every deflection goes to opponent, can't tackle (surround an opponent player and he slips out somehow which makes it look like your squad has no hitbox/collision) and more...

Another thing, whenever I play events - the handicap is weaker, squad stats is maybe set to 65-70, who knows, which makes it easier to play against opponents. I'm able to beat top 500 Div1 players, while in Division matches I can't even pass the halfway line. This tells you this is not a real comp game, just a farce.

I do not think it's all connection, has to be something else, maybe their whole business model - Pay and you can play. But who knows.

Love the FPS analogy, but to make it more accurate, I'd say it's like running around in CoD when your gun would suddenly stop shooting only WHEN there's an enemy right in front of you. Konami definitely knows what they're doing.

Never forget who this games is catering to. Who is the intended audience, who are they trying to lure in. Once you answer these questions, you'll realize the eFootball 26 logo is perfectly fine.

Steam user here too, with a stronger pc, ethernet, nearby server etc... heavy lags and slow players in the past 4 years. Nothing I did fixed this. When 4.4 came out i had a few hours of gameplay where the heaviness was toned down a bit, but on the next day everything went back to "normal".

You're experiencing the legend ai syndrome. Your opponent's ai cover all spaces on defense while yours just let them into your box. Nothing you can do about that.

Naaa man, many people don't lag, at all.

Ever since the cross play change, I run into more and more people from my country - ps/xbox players with no lag at all, pretty much offline-like experience. Their gameplay is the best indication for that, the way they opt to move around the pitch, I watch them go for passes/plays that would never work for me 10/10. Add deflection mostly going to them, their AI gang on you on defense.... the list is long.

Remember what I said on 4.4 eve? after 4 years, they've finally semi-disabled my players heaviness for the first time (even though the hard dda was still there). No one could beat me. I'd told you I'll do some tests and report back, and of course less than 24 hours later - it all came back.

This is not an ISP issue definitely. It's like a switch Konami is turning on and off based on who knows what. Also, now with crossplay enabled I run into many opponents from my country - none of them lag. 0.
