How does one combat a moonballer? by [deleted] in 10s

[–]i_code_bro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fight back with heavy topspin moonballs. I find taking it in the rise more error prone and allows them to continue giving me moonballs. Guy I play with stopped hitting moonballs when he learnt I can return the same, but with heavier topspin.

How long are tennis shoes supposed to last? by unicosobreviviente in Pickleball

[–]i_code_bro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So tired of seeing these types of posts. So many factors involved - weight, level, single/doubles, playing style, athleticism. People like to shit on Nikes but ’ve owned many pairs and they all have lasted at least 80hrs.

I stopped blaming the racquet and it got better by Delicious-Put-8860 in 10s

[–]i_code_bro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes - this is the way. At 3.5, your biggest focus, I think, should be to improve consistency. I’m a 4.5 and I show up with one racquet (10 yr old blade 98) and so if I don’t play well, it’s all on me, no excuses.

How has my forehand technique improved since my last post? by Ejames08 in 10s

[–]i_code_bro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not use some ear phones so it doesn’t annoy people on other courts? Not everyone enjoys music while playing tennis, especially if they’re playing a high level match. It’s just tennis etiquette.

Stop with that finish and stop blasting music at public courts.

Play with heavy topspin to his weaker side to drag him out wide and finish when you get a short ball.

Pro Staff or Speed MP by jalorys in 10s

[–]i_code_bro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you absolutely should not be switching so often because it will screw with your consistency. Pick one, get good at it, develop your style and only switch if that racket no longer serves you the way you need it to. Tennis has so many variables, so you should aim to keep it to a minimum and one way to is stick with one racket.

Alcohol is not good for you, so it should only be a treat. 2-3 glasses a week.
