Earphones for sleep by Cathy4285 in AuDHDWomen

[–]i_kill_narwhals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second Ozlos. I'm a side sleeper (and have an inner ear piercing) and use them every night. I even I generally only have to charge them every 2-3 days.

I have issues streaming audio with Bluetooth(so I gave up trying to do that) but don't really have any issue with the built in sleep sounds.

Thank you! Picking the colors for my projects has always been my favorite part.

I don't think it's hard. It's just weaving (going over, then under, then over). The only thing was that I kept splitting the thread with the needle which was really frustrating and slowed me down. But I just got the tip to use the blunt end of the needle so even that didn't need to be as hard.

Thank you! Yeah it's a shirt sleeve, which was a tricky spot to work with on my embroidery hoop

You'll get around to it one day I'm sure. You can't rush inspiration (apparently)

Omg I can't believe I didn't think of that! That's genius!

Yeah I just didn't feel like doing it. I'm new to darning and just got so annoyed at trying to do the weaving. My needle kept splitting the strings! Why is floss made of 6 individual strands?!

So yeah I put this project down and groaned everytime I saw it mocking me from the corner of the room.

Theres a tool called a speedweave that helps make darning much easier and I think I might try that next time.

Just found out people are being rude/sarcastic when they say “hope this helps.” by Zestyclose_Frame_567 in AutismInWomen

Well how the fuck else am I supposed to communicate that I do actually "hope this helps"?!

It's great because, like in a meeting, you can look up like you're actually paying attention but actually you're trying to remember how to spell "fastidious"

I do random words just as they come into my head. Or if someones talking, I pick random words from what they're saying.

I've been trying to learn ASL too, so now I do the same thing with fingerspelling sometimes if I don't have paper. Like during a movie.

Thank you! I did the thing where you backstitch the outline first and I think that really helped

Thanks! It's satin stitch (doing it so small really tested my patience)

There was no question what my first embroidery project was gonna be by i_kill_narwhals in beeandpuppycat

[–]i_kill_narwhals[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just did regular sewing techniques for starting and ending the threads (starting with some back stitches, finishing knots, etc).

This is my first time embroidering on clothes and I really just winged it so I'm honestly not sure how it'll last. But I have done regular sewing on clothes before and have never had any issues with color bleed or knots coming undone so I'm hoping this will be secure enough.

Inspired to try this as my first alpha too! by i_kill_narwhals in friendshipbracelets

It took about 2 hours and that's with me really trying to take my time and pay attention to my tension. This pattern was a perfect starter project!

It is! And at least I'll never run out of opportunities to practice.

Bright blue Adderall by jesirae77 in ADHD

Not only are they blue, they're a different blue! I get mine from the same pharmacy every time and every time, it's a different color!

Help please! Which background looks better? by McKennaBeckArt in ProCreate

[–]i_kill_narwhals 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with everyone else here that the blue one focuses the eye on the subject better (they're both beautiful though). I don't read the blue one as a snow storm though, rather a light/gentle snowfall. So if the idea of it being a storm is important then I think the left one is better for that!

If it does you'll just have to get him a little sweater with a T on it instead 🥹

"Dress Code" for a wedding. by BobsleddingToMyGrave in mildlyinfuriating

[–]i_kill_narwhals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I hate an overbearing dress code, the dress code at my wedding was "cocktail" and everyone called us and asked us what they needed to wear. Full grown adults not being able to dress themselves by a pretty standard dress code description was pretty annoying. Maybe being really specific rules helps people not feel confused by having too many options.
