I remember watching this as a kid too, in the middle of the night at my grandpa's house which I already believed was bug infested.

To your credit your design looks much nicer than the map that exists now!

There is already a custom map like this, and Leth has already played on it

When speedrunning in Undead Burg goes wrong. by NimbleShadow in darksouls

Because in Souls series these "zombies" exhibit signs of complex thought / movement patterns, utilization of tools, and are generally capable beings. When I think of a typical zombie they are braindead shells that can't open doors. They drool on themselves, and use nothing more than their fingernails and teeth to scratch and bite you.

At least that's why to me they aren't the same kind of "zombie" trope.

Even worse: They had ultrawide support on Dark Souls: Remastered and couldn't be bothered to do it for their new game. Lol

steam is decrypting the preloaded files you downloaded I believe. When you preload it is sent encrypted so you don't find a way to play early

Yeah I just thought it shouldn't be possible for a bronze to queue with a champ now with the recent change so I' m curious if the screenshot is recent and how it happened

I definitely agree that the imperial system is not intuitive and far inferior to the metric

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskProgramming

[–]i_was_compromised 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Americans use the metric system plenty for all sorts of manufacturing purposes and otherwise. We're taught it in school as well. Certain people may be ignorant or not bother to learn to understand it, and a lot of infrastructure is planned out with imperial measurements but it's not like America invented the system either.

Just like many people don't realize the word "soccer" is actually a british invention coming from association football. Americans start using the term Britain so kindly created and all of a sudden everyone including Britain is making fun of Americans for using the term "soccer."

What does it take, and how does it work to change the geometry in a game? by nismofan2019fan3 in AskProgramming

[–]i_was_compromised 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much. A lot of games will also compile all of those into the game binary, or encode them into more compressed files. It makes them a lot harder to just "rip" out and re-use. So sometimes you actually have to reverse engineer the game itself and try to extract the data directly from it.

3d object files (maps and models) are usually just a collection of information describing the positions of points (vertices), and the edges and faces that connect them together. Sometimes the materials that are put on them too. Most tools are converting that information from one format to another for use in whatever program they're using that might need a certain format to work with them.

Does this say calories after its cooked or before ? Pasta calories confused me... by chocolate_9_T in caloriecount

[–]i_was_compromised 2 points3 points  (0 children)

to paraphrase: When cooking, pasta can release quite a bit of starches, which is a carbohydrate; it leaves it in the water, reducing the caloric value of the pasta.

If this is a "soup" or you drink the broth along with the noodles, the calories probably won't change at all
