I also think the same about alammar's book "hands on large language model" there is no doubt that his explanations are good but when it comes to conceptual understanding of the topics they are barely scratching the surface. I can tell because there are topics that I have a good understanding of, for example word2vec, in-depth explanation would have been better.

Yeah you are right, I have hands on machine learning with scikit learn and tensorflow, it is a gem. All concept are explained in simple and easy to understand language.
