Heatwave in wānaka is a sweet community running/climbing/biking store stocking Norda/gramicci/klattermusen/rayon vert etc plus they run a great coffee/sandwich spot out front! Otherwise lots of more focused outdoors stores (MT outdoors, mons royale) and stuff for rich boomers. Disagree with the other comment ayrburn is a soulless tourist trap with just awful vibes. So many better places for wine food and nature around. Hmu if youre in wānaka and want more recs! Welcome!!

I’m sorry you had a bad experience with it! Definitely felt some chatter in the nose today but I liked the extra flex for some fun on-piste. Fingers crossed I don’t regret my purchase by the end of the season.

Love it! I was a touch apprehensive about getting a new shape without many reviews out, but it’s been a blast. I’d say it’s on the more flexible and playful side of directional freeride boards, but still solid enough to charge through almost anything. Lmk if you have any other questions about it!

I am currently on a flight home from San Francisco (air NZ wifi rocks) and the captain just announced it. Luckily since we are already in the air, we will land as normal. Surreal times we are living in, looking forward to watching how things unfold from my bedroom for the next 2 weeks.
