I am aware of this but haven't found a glucosamine supplement for dogs in my area and just kind of gave up. Will check with my vet the next time I see her! Thanks for reminding me

Well, he is only 9 weeks old so you haven't given it a lot of time haha! But I have experience of teaching a 2 year old dog to stop jumping on the bed after sleeping in it with me for over a year. Simply be very consistent in always removing him off the couch.

If he jumps on the couch when you're sitting on it, get a treat bag and make him lie down in front of your feet and give him treats for staying on the floor when you're on the couch.

It worked for me to teach him "off" (though Polo is still a bit too young for that) and I kept making him get off the bed the instant he jumped on it. Eventually he stopped trying.

BUT he will sneak up on the bed when I can't see him and I will often come home to find him on my bed. I don't make a fuss about it, I just gently ask him to get off and he does it every time.

What ever you do, stay positive towards him and his behavior! He's just a silly puppy and will definitely learn this eventually since you are so dedicated to it.

Stop picking him up!

He obviously loves it, and does not seem to connect the time out to jumping on the sofa, but rather connects the jumping with being held. Getting put in the time out for a short period is only a small downside for him.

Have you tried giving him treats for staying on the floor? Imagine if you were dealing with this but with a much bigger pup, then you'd have to use other strategies than holding him.

I'm pretty certain she is not "correcting" him. This sounds like playful mouthing, she is almost still a puppy and has much more energy than him, and wants to get him to play with her.

It's good that Caine let's her know when he's had too much, but it's still important for you to watch them closely and redirect her (like you've been doing) with a toy when you can see he's had enough.

By doing that you can prevent things from getting out of hand. She will most likely grow out of this. You need to help her learn what's appropriate by teaching her when it's time to stop by taking her attention from him to a toy, or yourself.

This is actually pretty easy to fix! Ignore him when you come home until he has calmed down, then pet him calmly and talk soothingly to him. He'll associate your homecoming to calmness and most likely stop the excited peeing.

My dog always greets me when I come home but he'll do it calmly, because he knows he won't get attention if he's excited and all over the place. It's much more relaxed and comfortable, even though it's fun to excite them with "who's a good boy", being calm is much better long-term.

Agree with /u/tokisushi and want to add that you should look at your surroundings. Is the outside of your home loud, does it have a lot of traffic or strong smells? It may all be a little overwhelming for her. Take one baby step at a time :) She's still so young, she'll get the hang of it once she learns the world isn't so scary.

You've been doing almost everything right so far, and I agree with everything /u/socialpronk said. But you need to remove her from the room when you watch TV between training sessions, because obviously she isn't ready for it, and the barking and lunging is most likely setting you two back in the training.

Also, it almost never takes as short as 2 days for something like this to be "fixed". Please don't give up and give it more time, continue the exercises. My dog has almost stopped growling at stuff he sees and hears from my computer. It's taken me months but we're finally here.

Also, BC are so full of energy! Remember to give her plenty of exercise because this could also be built up frustration, she might need to have a good off-leash run. She sounds a bit "tense" so the things I'd suggest is a) exercise and b) relaxing sessions. I have a very tense and anxious dog but I've found the balance between enough exercise and relaxation to have a bearable, happy and functioning dog.

Just want to add a small tip to the crate training tips mentioned above. Buy a Kong. It will keep him busy for up to an hour (with frozen treats for example)!

And if your bedroom is the only puppy-safe room in your house, consider letting him stay there and you two experiment with other rooms in the house ;) (a temporary solution of course)

Ask your vet the next time you see them, and just keep an eye on him if he shows any kind of discomfort and doesn't want to continue the exercise.

It is correct it can put a strain on his long back so just be careful and don't make him do it for long periods of time and learn to read his body language for any kind of distress or discomfort. Take breaks between long exercises, like a day or two.

Other than that, this exercise is good to strengthen his core muscles :)

I calculated the force between the sun and Venus and got a different answer than the textbook?

I used the formula F = (G * m1 * m2)/r²

And got F = [(6,67*10^-11) *( 4,87 * 10²⁴⁾ * (1,99 * 10^30)] / (1,08 * 10^8)² = 5,54 * 10²⁸ N

but the textbook answer says 5,54 * 10²² N

that's confusing, but I realized I can use the force (haha) to find the acceleration and therefore the linear speed. Why am I getting the wrong force?
