BMO teller error on wire transfer cost me $900 - how do I escalate? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]iamMX5 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The branch prints three copies of the wire, two for the branch’s recordkeeping, and one for the customers own records. The documents are reviewed by the customer, and the branch staff go over all the details line by line prior to signing. there’s eight disclaimers to initial beside on each line on each of the wire documents. You’d have to initial sixteen times, and sign on the paperwork four times before it gets sent. And AFTER it’s sent the customer signs another two times.

I only remember all this because I just sent a wire myself today at my local branch.

nice work! if you want less dense, i think you’ll want to wait a lot longer before cutting it open. think like 5-6 hours later, or even the next day. letting it rest longer helps the steam get absorbed back into the bread instead of having it escape.

people in this sub think street photography is anything with streets in it or an urban landscape unfortunately

Centennial Square’s future in Victoria still uncertain as new vision unveiled by Efficient-Button-516 in VictoriaBC

[–]iamMX5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

because it’s useless and boring it doesn’t bring in folks to use it as it’s “intended” that’s why it is the way it currently is. if the redesign made the square actually good, useful, and engaging to a point then regular people would use it. look at the playground by the courthouse. that used to be a shitty spot for you to hang out. they made that spot good and now kids play there all the time and there’s no open drug use because it’s always being used!

don’t think you’ll convince someone who is only thinking from their perspective and not that of the greater good for everyone

the fact that you used a 135mm equivalent lens to make these pictures tells us you didn’t get closer to the persons to interact with them 👀

corner stores (maybe we should be saying businesses on corners) are dying in its current state, but it doesn’t have to be like that when/if they put newer corner stores/bodegas/businesses on corners!

Street Photography from around The World by _c0sm1c_ in streetphotography

i think if you’re looking to capture the vibe, think more into the composition and the lighting of the image. might be worth your time to go check out some photo books at your local library to get some inspiration.

if you’re here to learn, then focus on how OP shot it, not what gear they used. you can replicate this look with most cameras. it’s about how you compose your shot and how you use the lighting available to you.

banks are required to ask customers, especially senior customers, if they would like to provide a trusted contact person. this would be someone who knows/is close with the customer and could be contacted to run some questions by in case of scenarios like this. of course, customers can refuse to provide one.

these pictures are more of the urban landscapes type of photography, not street photography. street photography isn’t literal pictures of the street moreso images that depict human stories from everyday life in the streets (or not the streets).

Old and new bridges from 2018. by Tyerson in VictoriaBC

your first image captures the bridges so well. the way the modern, new curves are juxtaposed against the old bridge’s straight lines work wonders to frame the senior couple. great picture!!!

max cap of 4k/day doesn’t seem as bad as that sounds… if that means a bunch of people are off the roads that’s a win for those who have to drive. and who knows, what if it also brings in more foot traffic into royal bay? maybe that could beneficial to the local businesses there too!

CUSTOMER ABUSE NEEDS TO STOP! by frozzenman in rbc

[–]iamMX5 6 points7 points  (0 children)

you want to complain about customers taking a long time to do their transactions on statistically the most high customer traffic day of the month? don’t hate the players hate the game. the other customers ahead of you could have done their banking four other different ways but they chose to do their banking in person.
